Overboost/bad WGA?

if you want to eliminate the WGA as the issue, blow into the wga vaccum hose. you shouldnt be able to pass air through the wastegate, if you can, the wga diaphragm is ripped.

My wastegate is a brand new ATP unit and thanks man we will have to give that a shot

i put my money that it because its a msp. these cars are like sweet and sour. i love it and hate it at the same time. i love cuz its my first car, i hate cuz i fn slow.

Wouldn't a bad mass air flow throw a code tho? And you think a good one will fix the issue? How much do y
the run?

The front of my engine is very noisy and the the car is hesitating under moderate throttle. Can a blown exhaust mani gasket cause both of these conditions or did the waste gate go bad again? (96K miles) :'(

id put money on a bad mass airflow sensor. any protege 2.0 maf will work.

This is what I thought at first too. So I swapped MAF with a friend and I'm still suffering the same problem (not constantly). He's been running my MAF since the summer with zero problems.

well they replaced both my coil packs and all four spark plugs, now assuming the technician gapped the plugs right, it didnt solve my problem, so now more than a week later they're finally going to send it to mazda speed where someone actually (hopefully) knows what they're looking at and doing.

maf are finiky, they go out over time. try cleaning it first see if that helps. have it smoke tested to check for leaks thats the best way to go about it. most shopes have a smoke pressure tester, it shouldnt cost any more then 80 dollars for them to do it as its part of diagnosing the problem.
