Well I'm finally back into rotaries. After owning 3 FDs and one RX-8 I wanted to get back into it. I sold my 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 because I was tired of making 2 car payments and I'm planning on buying a house. Also wanted something easier to mod. So picked this up. The car runs pretty good, just need some cleaning and adjusting on the carb to make it perfect. The windows/door seals need replaced and the interior needs new seat covers and a good cleaning. Exterior has 2 small rust spot. A/C works like a champ, tranny shifts pretty good. IMO not a bad purchase for $1500 never wrecked and clean title.
My plan is pretty simple:
-replace all the rubber seals
-change the seats to some Corbeau GTS II
-change the interior color from red to gray/black
-manual tranny swap
-paint the car to the original red color
-Weber downdraft carbs
-electric fan
-aluminum radiator
-full exhaust
-RE Speed coil over kits
-ZG fender flares and rims to go with it
Now what I need to decided is what bolt pattern I want. I like the selection there is with 4x100 but that requires adapters or swap for GSL SE axles or RE Speed kit and put FC hubs and brakes with the 5x114.
