shaneMazda2000p did a write I think. Basically buy hinges from Lowes and put them where the two bars come up to the trunk. Some people bolt the hinges but we welded them. Then to clean up the welding, bondo, sand, and paint.

NO DONT!!!!!!!!!!!! the hinges u get are flimsy and cheaply made, get some thick gate hinges from lowes..

i made the mistake of that, my trunk almost fell off with them, if it wasnt for the latch i wouldnt have a trunk..
