OR: Possible sale/trade, my 2000 2.5RS for your P5

So are you interested in a possible trade? I guess i have no plans for spring break, if you wanted to meet me halfway or something i could do a road trip and we could meet somewhere in the middle. Of course we'd have to both be certain we liked each others cars and wanted to trade. I guess it's a possibility.

After looking at the pics, I'm not sure that I'd want to do that. Don't get me wrong, your car is great and looks really nice, but I feel like i'd be downgrading by getting a car that is 3 years older and has almost 3 times the mileage.

I would trade you in a heartbeat, I've always loved that RS... but my P5 is a bit modded.. plus its an automatic... and I've grown an attatchment to it. Let me know if you're interested anyways. I'm guessing you're in Oregon by the title?

Jonlong, i don't blame you, no offense taken.

Chu, i'm not really interested in a modified car, unless it's minor, and i long ago made a solemn vow to myself to never own an automatic with fewer than 6 cylinders :)

Oh, and yeah i'm in oregon.

I have a feeling I'll be making good on that vow the day I step into whichever car comes next.

for people who are interested but still owe on their car. I would imagine that you could take out a new loan against the subie in order to pay off what you owe on the mazda. Does that make sense?

thinking about it.! I've got a 2002 p5 around 50k fully loaded mostly stock. can I see more pic?

Thats not what he means by "clean". He was referring to the car's overall condition.

its cool...

no way on hell am I trading a 27k mile bone stock 2003.5 for some car that is about 5k miles from end of warranty. 15k from major maintenance. If I am not mistaken there is an issue with head gaskets for that model year.

Who doesn't vacuum a damn car out before posting pics?

The head gasket on this one should be fine for quite a while. It got a new one about 10k ago when I had the engine out. For a while i was running a different block (2.2L) and a turbo. I got fed up with not having the right fuel system and engine management for the turbo, and since i couldn't afford to get them, I decided to ditch the turbo and that block and went back to stock.
