I'd like to know what people think of this system I'm about to purchase. Pro's, Con's, whatever I just would like some advice. Do you think this will work in my P5.

Head unit - Its an older Alpine from my last car only 2 preouts (the reason I say only 2 preouts, it is to justify the reason I'm not going to get a 4-channel amp to run the 2 front and rear channels. I'm going to run the front preout to the MRV-T320 and the rear/sub preout to the MRD-M300)

Upfront - Infinity REF505CS 5 1/4" Component System

Rear - Infinity REF652I 6 1/2" 2-Way Speaker

Sub - JL Audio 12W3-D2 in a ported box

Sub amp - Alpine MRD-M300 V12 AccuClass-D Mono Power Amp

Amp for the rest - Alpine MRV-T320 2/1 Channel Power Amplifier

BTW: This whole thing is gonna cost around $850 (installed by me), good price or no??

Heres are my suggestions, Use the 6 1/2 's up front in the doors powered by the 2 ch amp. Mount the tweeters from the 6 1/2 in the kick panels ,51/4's in the rear doors powered by the head unit ,use a 100 microfarad nonpolar cap on the rear speakers to reduce the bass going to them.. Use the front RCA connection with a Y to send a signal to both the front and rear amp. This will help in creating upfront bass . Don't use the rear output as the rearspeaker are powered from the deck.

Sounds like a sweet system! Take some pics when it's all done.
Ok, I'm no pro, but here are some of my thoughts:
You should be able to use the rear preouts even though still running the powered outputs. They should be on seperate circuits, shouldn't they?
Using a Y out of the front pre-outs will just decrease the output and clarity of it into the amps. Bad in = Bad out. It should be clearer using both sets of pre-outs. I have always used all of the output in the past. The head unit runs a little warmer, but I've never had any fail on me yet!
I'll check later as I have 2 family members that are engineers at Alpine.

the rear speakers might not fit, i read somewhere the mounting depth is only 2" those infinities are like.. 2.5?
