hey guys i currently have a forge bpv... and in all honesty i could not have been happier with the performance gain i must had really leaky stocker. anyways my gf hates the sound and its not my favorite... i've heard the rkm comes out of the same factory as the hks... is this true? is the rkm just as good as the hks? its so much cheaper and id be willing to dish the money out for the sound but i want to make sure it will hold boost just as good as my forge. =) thanks for the feed back

friend had RKM and it was the first gen with the set screw and it was a pain to get set worse then the whole forge spring and shim thing. in foact with all our adjusting we never got it just right, it would backfire at wot every now and then. as far as the rkm and hks part they look alike but there are some differences.

...but the second gen RKMs are out there and being sold new. suposadly they are self adjusting.
there should be no gains from any valve

the "gains" are really just improvements on any losses with the stock BPV. If you have a really weak one that leaks at stock boost levels then replacing it will get you more HP, but only because you were losing HP with the stock BPV.

Yeah, It will not net any extra HP, just return you to where you should have been before the stock POS BPV started leaking.

Not sure what gains you guys are talking about? The differences are pretty subtle. You'll get less turbo lag and hold boost better sure, I wouldn't necessarily call it a gain... unless you had a stock BPV that was dead.
