Opinion needed.

I have always wanted this car and now have an opportunity to get one. 0-60 in 5.6sec mile 14.1, limited production hand built by Porsche & Mercedes. 5.0 V8 , 5speed auto 155mph governed. Porsche tuned suspension and all.

I love a sleeper.

500E What do you guys think?

Its ok... but kind of dated. If you want a sleeper there are better ones out there that are newer and cheaper. You can get a 2001 S4 sedan for about $25k or so. Performance specs are the same except you can mod it and for about $2k get a 4.5 0-60 and a high 12 to low 13 1/4 mile.

Serious sleeper with AWD. I loved mine.

S4 is defiantly a nice sleeper. I think w124 Benz design is timeless. Nice factory flairs.

Look at this pic.

I think its already been sold cause I dont see it at the Suby dealer anymore.

They were asking $18,995.00 & may have let it go for less.

:(

another great thread for the MSP section of the forum

on a side note though. get the S4 and throw a pair of KKK turbos on it enjoy cruising with the best of them. and blowing the doors off the other 4 door awd vehicle in the household

I think Ill pass on the 500E.

Ive been on the Benz forums and here that the parts are labor are brutal. I dont know If I want to spend $500.00 to replace each shock.

I have a friend in Miami who managed to legally bring a Mazda 3 rotor Cosmo to the states, Im going to find out what he can do for me.

if your going to start dealing with people in Miami and your looking for something different just go to MotoREX or however you spell it and find yourself a skyline

I have a budy who works for Motorex. Let me know if you any of you guys are interested. They don't only import Skylines. They can get pretty much any J-SPEC car if you are willing to shell out the dough.

The 91 E34 is a great M5, but most of them are beat pretty bad. I had an 87 E28 and it was lots of fun, but the body has become quite dated. I would like to get my hands on a 323 GTR, and plan on calling contacting motorex about it. For now my brain is overheating with all the wonderful options Ive been presented with.

Anyone have the Motorex web site address???

Hummm... I don't believe they can just start importing jdm cars because they first need to pass US safety and smog tests. Motorex did pay to have the skyline tested and I know Motorex does an inhouse conversion to bring the Skyline up to spec, but I haven't heard of Motorex paying the US Gov to test other jdm cars.

and one more thing.... (wrong)

this belongs in OT.

Yup, they had about 3 or 4 of right hand drive STi's and EVO's at their wearhouse last Christmas. Don't know if they were for sale, but they were there. :)
