I just spent the better part of an hour reading all the intake threads I could. I still have one concern in the debate between the SRI and the CAI. I live in Montreal and we have real rough winters. I read some post of people suggesting to remove intakes during rough winter months due to fuel consumption and other issues.

So my big question, due to my location, am I better off with a SRI over a CAI?

Be gentle I am totally newbie to modding and I want to make the right decision, thanks to all that take the time to respond.

ffice:smarttags" />lace>Montreal</ST1:place> ??????

get an SRI, they are cheaper and you won't notice a difference. I live in california and rarly have bad weather, and i have a SRI, so yea

looks? CAI
costs wise? SRI
want both? get K&N typoon intake system($399) CAI <->SRI

also, a SRI is louder then a CAI, as for looks, it depends on if you like the look of the cone filter in your engine bay or not.

Just ordered my sri today. Liked the accessibility of installation, hence there's just a very slight difference in terms of horsepower according to most members in this forum.

Get a short ram. For the hp/price ratio, you are better off. And you don't have to remove the bumper to clean your filter.(dance)
