If it was me I would go to Raymond Autobody...

Right on, I will check into them. Had the insurance estimate done today.... $674 and some change... cause the rear bumper spoiler is nicked too. They are going to replace the bumper and just repair the spoiler piece... or at least that is what the guy told me they would do.

$674? can't you get a BC2 full body kit for about the same price? sorry, I think I want the BC2 kit for myself and wish it upon others too. :)

but 674 included paint. the bc2 kit you would still have to paint. plus idk about anyone else but i think the msp body kit is the best looking on the protege

yeah, for some reason I've always liked the bc2 front end so I'm biased

Yea like Ghost Mercury said, this included paint, shop time, etc... I checked out the kit- also not a huge fan, i like the stock piece better.... at least with the look im going for.

Like Tom said, take it to Raymond's off of pierce butler.

you can talk to Jon Lamott and tell him that Zivman (Zywiec) reffered you. My brother (Jon) is a body man there and they will take good care of you. You can search them out, they have a very strong reputation for doing top notch work

awesome! thanks a lot, i want to get it fixed within the next two weeks so i will give them a call and set up an appointment. this really helps cause i really really dont want to take it to the dealership :)

Car has been in the shop since Monday. I called today for an update and they said they are probably going to have it til friday. Originally they were going to put on a "refurbished" bumper but supposedly they were out of stock and are putting on a new one. They also said that the styrofome (i know i totally butchered that) under the bumper needed replaced and the damage did reach the frame so they had to do some repair work there too. Gay. At least I know I'm getting it back better than when I dropped it off :) Alll I have to say is that I really hope it is done in time for Rock Falls on Saturday.

As I do with any mechanic doing any bigger jobs, and I am sure you are welcome to do, go look at it while it is apart...make them show you why and what exactly they are doing/charging for. You only have to pay for what the quote is, not a penny more unless you want to. I am very suprised that they want to replace the entire piece of styrofoam, but then again, I don't have the option to go see it in person. (wink) good luck!!

Rockfalls cancelled this weekend, incase you didn't get an email from them. I posted on the Rockfalls 2007 thread also.

I'm not too concerned about the price. Since my dad damaged it, he is paying the deductable...everything above that has been approved by my insurance. Plus I dont want to see it taken apart....
