What do people drive in the 25-35 year range that want a fun, sporty car? i.e. I'm 32 and feel older than this car's image... which is true based on the number of 18-22 year old's on this board. I don't really care because I really like the car. However, I would've gladly afforded another 5-10,k on a better car if such a thing existed... However, all you get is weight, complicated controls, and a numbness for the driving experience.... until you reach the exotic level...

If you want a fun, performance related car that is less than 25,k... you have very few choices to begin with. If this car lasts 5 years, it'll have been worth every penny and then some for me.

When looking at this car I thought I was going to be way too old for it but it suits me even better than my last Protege.

I kept looking at the G35C, 350Z, vette (my wife's dream car), 2k4 TL, and RX-8 but just couldn't bring myself to spend that much on a depreciating asset. They just didn't seem to be worth the extra money. In fact, most didn't feel as good as my Maxima and didn't handle like the Protege.

I think this car is for anyone at any age who loves having fun driving!

Just turned 41. My mind is still 18 but some times my body feels 75. After crawling under the dash over the weekend to hook up my A/FR, Boost, and Oil Pressure gauges, and under the car and hood for the MBC and downpipe, my back, knees and fingers are killing me :)

Oh well, now my car is freshly flashed, 10lbs of boost and she's even more fun to drive!

Age is a state of mind, plus having a g/f that's 10 years younger then me doesn't hurt either :D

At the Meeting of Mazda's meet in Ontario this past spring there was a Mazdaspeed owner who was old enough to need a cane to walk, spicy orange, I'm sure he's the oldest. I would say 70's.

10 out of 10 times in my mind. Then again, I usually can't remember where I left my mind!

HAHAHAHAH old age and treachery. That's the funniest thing I've seen all day. Maybe you old guys aren't so bad after all :D

Not so bad? You'll find we're actually rather GOOD, methinks!

Funny... I never really thought about the "does this car fit my age?" question until I saw people mentioning it here. Then again I've always loved small, light and quick cars (previous car was a quite modified Suzuki Swift GT) and I still wish I had the money for a Type-R and an AEM CAI. The sound of that thing on the big cam alone is worth the price.

I know we've got more taxes in Canada but can one of the <20 yr olds here explain to me how you guys can afford this car? I would have loved to have one at your age but I couldn't even come close to making the payments.
