Okay, I'm guilty too, but let's do a real meet...

Seems like everything else lately's been a "hey these guys are doing something, let's go there" kind of deal, and I think that's part of the discouragement. I'm not talking about anyhting major, just a get-together kind of deal. I don't know what days are better, or who can do what when so I'm jsut gonna leave this open for now. It's just kind of discourageing to me since our one meet earlier this year seemed to go so well.

I agree, we need a huge meet. It's just unfortunate that I have to work weekends. I am, however, working on a huge project....and it should result in some very huge meets. I'll keep you guys posted, and I'll show you some completed preliminary work. Just imagine some FREE (or damn near close to it) BBQ events......because it just might happen.

It would also help if the location was a little more central so some of us from down South/East would be able to make it.

I know you guys up north have organized a few meets in the Seattle area and they've gone well. I know a few people here in Portland that would come up if it were just a little closer.

Tacoma is an even 2 1/2 hr drive from either Vancouver BC or Portland and only 3 hrs or so from Yakima. Is that a correct assessment?

Pull it one way or another, what's an extra halfhour of a drive??? I dunno doesn't matter much to me, I for one understand that I'm prettymuch gonna be driving a good bit whichever way it goes. Honestly, it's just about faster for me to ge to portland that it is to get to Tacoma...

Sure it's good to appease both sides, but I fuigre it's just gotta be by the#'s how far which direction can you go before you start losing potential cars... One thing that sucks for the BC boys is border crossing. If you haven't been back'n fourth, you can't understand the hassle that it is. It takes ALOT of time and is a pretty big ordeal at times. Everytime you risk having your car gone through, hell they can even pull it all apart if they feel like being pricks. I know that I, for one am always tense as I inevitably seem to get teh 3rd degree. From something as simple as taking a quick peek through your bags to having you pull off and wait inside while they take your keys and do god knows what to your car... Even if a meet were in Bellingham, it would likely take them quite awhile and a good bit of possible hassle to get there. I was blown away with the crew that made the journey last time around. I'd really like to see it happen again.

I want to get a meet together also. I was thinking in the Kent area I hang out with the srt-4 crowd there and maybe we could get together a Mazda/ SRT-4 get-together anyway just a thought I would like to get together a meet on the 19th around 6-6:30. let me know if you can make it

Interested, I'd much rather it were just pro's, but hey if even a couple feel like showin up I'm down.

yeah, I think I might be able to make it, post when and where, I might not be free until a little later, like after 7 though. We will see
