OK, I'll be buying some tires from Wheelguru, but I can't decide which ones to get. They're all basically the same price $100 range. Due to my money problems, I've canceled out the possibility of buying Pirelli P-Zero Nero's, Toyo T1-S, Bridgestone SO3's and Kuhmo ECSTA MX which all range from $130-$160. Everyone please vote since I finally figured out how to make a poll......yay :D

I vote for the yokahama parada's....for the simple reason that after I did some research and number crunching....those are the tires I am going to be getting as well.....JUST as soon as the wheels I am getting become available...

F the Paradas.. i have a set and yes there the spec-2's noisy as hell and there isnta damn thing you can do about it. i got a set of the AVS's for my new OS super legs. just need to find the time to go have them mounted.. i hear the dunlops are OK but get noisy too. Kuhmos are ok
havent heard much about the 711, the 12's are supposed to be OK but nothte greatest.

if the tirerack still had the AVS-i's on closeout i'd be a happy camper.

I'd say go with the Kumho's. Good value for the performance. On my '01 ES I just replaced the stock Dunlop SP5000's with Kumho 712's. The Kumho's handle just as well in every aspect as the Dunlops did and the have much better wet traction. On hard launches on dry pavement there is much less wheel hop. In the past when I had my rx7's I was always partial to Dunlops, but I decided to give the Kumho's a try since I heard so many good things about them. Oh yeah...and you definitely don't want the Dunlop FM901's. For some reason they aren't like any other Dunlop high perfomance tire. One of my friends got a set and the sidewalls are very soft, so his car does not corner confidently at all. Just my 2 cents.

I'm suprised that people are actually considering the 711's over the Paradas. I'm not a big fan of the Kuhmo's mainly becuase they are a really large step down from the ZR rated Dunlops SP9000. I do no want 712's at all. Everyone and their mother has them and I didn't like them on my Civic at all. I'm looking for a tire that will compliment the handling characteristics of the MP3 and from the looks of it, I may have to go up about $25-$30 a tire to do so.

I put on Kuhmo 712's recently and boy was I glad I did. Course I went to 205/45 so I'm sure that made a difference, but they are really quiet (I'm talking about they don't squeel...at all. And I sometimes take corners pretty hard) and I've actually had to try to get them to slip at all on dry pavement. They REALLY stick to the ground when cornering...I'd definately go for them.

I recommend the Kuhmos because that was the street tire of choice in autocrossing before the Falken Azenis came out. They are inexpensive, and from what I can tell, they handle about 95% as good as the Dunlop 9000s at a fraction of the cost. That's what I'll be putting on once this set of tires die. I don't street race, and I would like a little nicer ride with decent performance. If I am going to race, I'll be throwin on my R-rated Kuhmo V700s and hitting the track.

the avs es100 are on my mp3 now...they are good not a very sticky compound....i say stay wit the YOKO brands....they are good ass tires and they are cheap...the parada spec2 are a more grippy and hard feeling....the avs have a tendency to feel a lil floaty

Khumos!!!!!
Just FYI I got the a new set of the dunlops that came with our cars about 2 weeks ago. I got them for $125 a pop.
