oiling air filter?

put on the aem sri, and forgot to ask about putting the oil on it? does it come pre oiled from them or do i gotta take it out again and oil it. sorry , i did a search, nothing discusses this issue and the instructions dont say to do so.

Would I be out of line if I say that you should use a K&N filtercharger kit on that just in case?

I think they come pre-oiled. You only need to re-oil them after you clean them. Yes, as Action Jackson said, you can use the K&N supercharging kit to clean and re-oil it.

Its pre-oiled (the filter will look pink/redish)... At least my AEM was.

yes. and when using the re charge, don't oil the filter too much. thats the #1 problem according to the dealer i took my car to. people come in with a saturated air filter and the car sucks that stuff in when there is so much.

be very carefull about OVER-oiling.....it can cause massive MAF problems. Seen many a car go south due to the oiled filters.
