Oil "film"

Have a 2014 CX-5 Touring. No problems so far. After the first oil change at the dealer I noticed maybe 1 drop of oil a week under the car. Examination showed it was coming from the engine just to the right of the oil filter. Filter not leaking, oil level steady. Drip decreased but still present up to 2nd oil change. Mentioned to dealer & said I felt some oil was mis-directed at the 1st oil change & ran down the side of the engine. The dealer changed the oil & must have done something as the occasional drip stopped. Now, after driving a few miles there is usually a slight oil film to the right of the oil filter, not even a drop. Any one had this issue and if so any ideas where to look for the supposedly errant oil? Thanks.

Make sure the drain plug "gasket" (aluminum washer) is doing its job. Mine leaked on my second oil change (self-serviced) with a brand new ring. Put on a second new ring and it sealed fine. Never did figure out what happened.
