ohm load questions

Was wondering about stressing my amp. Here's the setup. I have a 4ch 55 rms per channel MTX thunder amp. I found a 6.5" bass tube that has two sets of speaker connects on it. Was wondering if this could be run in parallel (piggy back on other channels) with my 2 channels the rear speakers are connected to? Will this damage anything? Should I use one pair or both pairs of the speaker connects on the tube? Best way to run the tube off the same amp as my 4 door speakers without compromising my equipment or current sound quality.

I wouldn't recommend this.......but.......you should be fine as long as you are running the bass tube at 4 ohms with the other speakers. You shouldn't use a 4 channel amp for 2 speakers and then run the other 2 channels to a sub anyways but you should be fine. You have to look at the power ratings of the bass tube and s*** like that as well. An amp that pushes 55RMS isn't that big of an amp to begin with. I'm sure a few other guys will join this thread and give you their opinions because these are just mine and my experiences.

What model number is the bass tube, I will need to get its stats.
You should never put unalike speakers on the same amp channel, EVER! It can be done but many amps will fry. Also keep in mind speaker change impedance as they play so there will be times when the tube is getting one watt and the speakers 60.
Also the tube will need a lowpass crossover and the speakers a high pass crossover.
In short you can do anything but shouldn't in this case.
