Do you race or just play? And if so, where?

The hellfire and mayhem st are for racing. Since I got back into the hobby, again, I'll be racing @ the sugar bowl speedway in Sugar Hill on Saturdays.

The T-Maxx, Nitro Rustler and RS4 are for bashing.

What's ironic is that both my E-Maxx and T-Maxx have more mods that the MSP has...the T-Max has a better intake, better exhaust, and even a different engine...both have the wide-suspension kit...they were the first gen with the narrow suspension... (boom07)

Back in the day (almost 20 years ago) I had a Midnight Pumpkin from Tamiya. 1/12th scale and was a beast.

Mods that I can remember was gas filled shocks for racing/solid rods for truck pulls
3 lbs concrete pad for front for truck pulls.
3 different rear ends with different gears
high rpm motor and high torque motor
sealed, air filled tires.

These were not RTR's back then and I spent alot of time taking apart and rebuilding.

My first few were not RTRs either. My very first one was a Grasshopper from Tamiya.

that thing belongs in my garage :)

WoW a grasshopper. :D I remember those. I also had a Team Associated RC-10 when they first came out many moons ago, and a clodbuster I won from one of my truck pulls.

Now all I got is some Xmods. the MSP and my Battletech hobby take most of my free money or else I would get back into the RC car thingy. :D

i have an xmod, skyline body, 6 batteries, atomic mods motor, cf drive shaft, and a lot of other goodies

it hasn't worked in a couple of months, something burned and i can't figure out what

Yeah man, I remember those days, I been in this hobby for a good 20 years now. My first car or rather first 4 cars were gold tub RC10's that I got new. I had up to 15 different cars at one time (associateds, serpents, bolinks....etc). I can't stop! Between the mayhem st and hellfire there's about $2500 worth of stuff. That's just in the last 2 months.(boom07)

I remember the aftermarket support for those gold tub RC10s...you can have anything from a monster truck to a street car with those...every kind of conversion kit thinkable...As for my Grasshopper, I still have it, and it is a truck...kinda...but I think I'm putting it back to buggy form. I have two "real" R/C Trucks now...
