magine the new Mercedes C-Class, add to that a maximum of 1500 liters of cargo space and you will end up with the new Mercedes C-Class Estate. The wagon version comes in three guises, namely the Classic, Elegance and Avantgarde. The Avantgarde is the sportiest of the three and the first Mercedes estate to carry its star in the middle of the grill, the distinctive mark of a sporty model.

The designers have taken customers expectations very seriously and have made the trunk door more steep, allowing 485 liters of cargo with the rear seats up. Fold the rear seats down and luggage room increases to 1500 liters, more than any other estate in its class. The design team have put it to the test and discovered the car can hold four golf bags and trolleys, or 44 drinks crates (holding six 1 liter bottle each) or a square box with a volume of 827 liters.

The engine line-up corresponds to the C-Class saloon, which means a 13 to 20 hp power increase over the previous generation while cutting fuel consumption by as much as 10,3 percent.

e new C-Class Estate is also available with the Agility Control package which allows the driver to switch at will between two different suspension set-ups allowing for either a comfortable ride or a sporty one. The shock absorbers are controlled with infinitely variable electronic control, the car is lowered by 15mm and the suspension comes with shorter springs and thicker torsion bars. Also, the optional package includes a six percent more direct steering system and a short-throw six-speed transmission. An AMG sports package is available to which adds an additional sports suspension with shorter springs and firmer shock absorbers, 17 inch alloy wheels and is lowered by 15mm.

Following in the Saloon’s footsteps, the C 63 AMG Estate is now also due to be launched. Under the bonnet with its distinctive power domes, the AMG 6.3-litre V8 engine delivers effortless acceleration. The high-revving naturally aspirated engine sets the benchmark in this segment with its maximum output of 336 kW/457 hp at 6800 rpm and maximum torque of 600 Nm at 5000 rpm. The unique high-performance estate accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds; top speed is 250 km/h (electronically limited).
Power is transferred by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC. Equipped with AMG steering wheel gearshift paddles and the three driving modes “C”, “S” and “M”, the seven-speed automatic transmission delivers a decidedly sporty or comfort-focused ride depending on the driver’s tastes. The automatic throttle-blipping function when downshifting is another innovation. In conjunction with the all-new front axle, the AMG speed-sensitive sports steering and the new 3-stage ESP, the AMG sports suspension provides maximum driving pleasure and superb driving dynamics. The AMG high-performance braking system with large internally ventilated and perforated disc brakes all round provides optimum stopping power even during particularly dynamic driving. The standard specification includes 18-inch five-spoke AMG light-alloy wheels with 235/ 40 R 18 (front) and 255/35 R 18 (rear) wide-base tyres. 19-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels shod with 235/35 R 19 (front) and 255/30 R 19 (rear) tyres are available as an option.
Design and appointments: more distinctive than ever

The design and appointments on the new C 63 AMG Estate are comfortably on a par with the sophisticated technology. The top-of-the-line AMG eight-cylinder model has been differentiated more clearly than ever from the series-production C-Class: typical hallmarks of the brand come in the shape of AMG bodystyling, the bonnet with power domes, the distinctive AMG radiator grille, the flared front wings, the AMG rear apron with its black diffusor insert and the AMG sports exhaust system with two sets of chromed twin tailpipes. The interior feel is dominated by the distinctive AMG sports seats with integral head restraints, the three-spoke AMG performance steering wheel with its flat underside and small 365-millimetre rim, and the tube-style AMG instrument cluster with its AMG-specific main menu. As an alternative to the standard-fit aluminium trim elements, AMG carbon trim can also be ordered as an option for the C 63 AMG Estate.
Largest load compartment in its class with up to 1500 litres

The load capacity of the C 63 AMG Estate ranges from 485 to 1500 litres (VDA measuring method) depending on the position of the 1/3:2/3-split rear seat backrests which can be folded forwards. No other car in the premium estate segment of this vehicle class can match this capacity. Standard equipment includes bag hooks and four anchoring lugs to secure the load, side stowage compartments with covers, a collapsible shopping crate as well as a combined luggage cover and retaining net. The new EASY-PACK tailgate opens and closes at the push of a button. The market launch of the C 63 AMG Estate is scheduled for the start of 2008; sales price incl. 19% VAT is EUR 69,853.

FRANKFURT PREVIEW FOR NEW FORD KUGA CROSSOVER

COLOGNE, Germany, September 5, 2007 Ford is releasing the first details of its new Kuga crossover at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, where the car will be previewed ahead of production early in 2008. The Kuga will be previewed alongside the new Ford Verve Concept small car and other exciting new products yet to be revealed on the show's first press day, September 11th.

The All-New Ford Kuga in Brief

  • Stylish Ford Kuga crossover will be previewed at Frankfurt Motor Show in near production form ahead of sales launch in early 2008
  • Inspired by the iosis X Concept that was revealed at the 2006 Paris Motor Show
  • Kuga is the latest showcase for Ford's 'kinetic design'
  • Impressive on-road driving dynamics with substantial off-road ability
  • Model range features 'intelligent' 4WD and FWD systems
  • Powered by Ford's acclaimed 2.0-litre 136 PS Duratorq TDCi diesel engine
  • Benefits from strong Ford Focus lineage
  • First crossover designed and developed in-house by Ford of Europe
  • To be produced at Ford's Saarlouis plant in Germany
Ford of Europe's product portfolio is expanding again and in another new direction. The new Ford Kuga is an exciting 4WD crossover that combines style with technology and promises impressive on-road dynamics coupled with substantial off-road ability.

The new Ford Kuga will go on sale throughout Europe during the first half of 2008. "When we unveiled the stunning iosis X Concept car at the 2006 Paris Motor Show I promised that in less than two years we would enter this segment with an all-new vehicle developed and built in-house," said John Fleming, President and CEO, Ford of Europe.

"In delivering that promise, the commitment we also gave in Paris two years ago to add new and exciting niche vehicles to a newly energised Ford of Europe portfolio was also kept," Fleming added.

"Kuga offers a rare blend of a wagon and SUV features together with coup-like sporting qualities," said Stephen Odell, Vice President for Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe.

"A major element of our strategy to return the Ford of Europe business to sustained profitability is the introduction of exciting new products like Kuga that attract new customers to the brand," explained Odell. "The S-MAX proved to us that there is demand for vehicles which offer the customer universal usability for work, leisure and family roles and where "driving pleasure" is also very important."

Unmistakably a Ford
One of the challenges of the Kuga development team was to give the vehicle Ford's acknowledged driving quality while at the same time delivering substantial off-road ability.

For this reason, the Ford Kuga will be available with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system which contributes positively to normal road use and helps give the vehicle an almost sporty dynamic ability. The fact that the Kuga will also be available as a front-wheel-drive only version simply emphasises the crossover concept of the vehicle.
Kuga's powertrain will feature Ford's established and highly fuel efficient 2.0-litre, 136 PS Duratorq TDCi common-rail diesel engine mated to a Durashift 6-speed manual transmission. Further details of the Kuga powertrain will be released closer to launch in early 2008.

Kuga Design - Standing Out
"Our kinetic design form language is very flexible and is giving an exciting look to all our new vehicles," said Martin Smith, Executive Design Director, Ford of Europe. "The iosis X Concept demonstrated how kinetic design could be adapted to the C-sized crossover segment of the market. All the expressive design elements of iosis X are clearly visible in the production vehicle. The new Ford Kuga is a dramatic addition to the Ford portfolio which develops our brand significantly."

Kuga closely follows the proportions and basic dynamic forms of the iosis X. This relationship is enhanced by the paint finish in the same unique 'Ice White' body colour and the bold wheel arches are filled with the same alloy wheels, as seen on iosis X which will be available to customers as a 19-inch option. Strength and athleticism in the design are key attributes of Ford's 'kinetic design' philosophy. Kuga demonstrates this through its dynamic lines, full surfaces and muscular presence. This athletic form language is highlighted with the bold kinetic graphics such as the trapezoidal front grills, rising belt-line and kick-up of the rear window graphic and the dramatic swept back headlamp shapes.

For the production Ford Kuga the coup-like roof profile of the iosis X Concept has been adjusted to a slightly higher silhouette offering comfortable accommodation for five people.

The luggage compartment is accessed via a split tailgate and this, together with the divided rear lights, ensures the maximum full load width is available for loading and unloading.

Finally, the rear end design of Kuga also incorporates the graphic elements of 'kinetic design' such as the high mounted tail lamps, facetted rear glass and sculptured rear bumper. The rear bumper neatly integrates the tailpipes into the contours of the diffuser.

Kuga Interior Space and Comfort
The interior of the new Ford Kuga has a spacious feel and not just because of the large panoramic glass roof fitted to the preview model and available as an option in production.

The clean, ergonomic design of the instrument panel and centre stack converge into a voluminous centre console for maximum accessible storage. These interior components contribute to a comfortable surrounding for the driver and front seat passenger. The high seat and shoulder line position of the doors offers the opportunity for maximum glazed areas to give a light and airy environment for passengers and provides the driver a commanding view of their surroundings.

The materials chosen for Kuga's interior also demonstrate the close links to the iosis X Concept. In Kuga we see once again technical materials, fine leathers and striking orange piping. The Ebony interior is set off by a centre console and details in the door which also feature the piano-white finish from iosis X. All these elements together show how Ford intends to enable Kuga customers in the future to personalise their vehicle.

A hint of the technology coming in Kuga is seen in the new Blaupunkt navigation system which incorporates a 7" colour display to also show images from a rear view camera incorporated into the tailgate. This new feature, to aid reversing manoeuvres, will find its way to the production version of the Kuga.

"We're very excited about Kuga, and believe that its blend of great looks, compact exterior dimensions, superb on-road driving quality, spacious and high quality interior and good off-road ability will allow it to stand out from the crowd," said Fleming. "We can't wait to see it on and off road early next year"

Veloster
Styled at Hyundais Design and Technical Centre at Namyang, the Veloster coupe is the third in a series of daring concept cars to be developed by the companys central styling studio in Korea. The Veloster name, a combination of velocity and roadster, evokes the sporty characteristics of a sporty two-plus-two. A panoramic glass roof and other futuristic styling cues help project a high-tech image.
Designed to cater to the tastes of the so-called Y-generation, Veloster combines simple, iconic design with good value and robust construction.
With Veloster, we wanted to try something really different. Were keenly aware that we need radically new products for the Y-generation, the first-time buyer in their twenties, said Oh Suk-Geun, Hyundais vice president of design. This is really a bold new direction.

Volvo Readies 52-MPG C30 "Efficiency" Model -- But Not for U.S.

volvo.c30.efficiency.500.jpg

volvo.c30.efficiency.2.500.jpg

GOTHENBURG, Sweden Volvo on Monday said it will introduce a green C30 "Efficiency" model powered by a 104-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. However, the company's U.S. spokesman said there are no plans to sell the vehicle in the U.S. "at this point."

Volvo spokesman Dan Johnston said: "We will not be doing anything unless this engine platform can work in all 50 states. The rest of the world gets this before our market."

Johnston said the most promising "potential" markets for the C30 Efficiency would likely be in such states as New York and California.

The C30 Efficiency gets a reduced chassis height, a new rear roof spoiler, new rear bumper, underbody panels, "optimized" engine cooling and 16-inch wheels. The gearbox has also been revised, Volvo said. The changes squeeze out slightly better fuel economy. The C30 Efficiency gets a combined 52 mpg, while the current Volvo C30 1.6D gets a combined 50 mpg. The C30 Efficiency has reduced C02 emissions "to below 120 g/km" (193 grams per mile); the current Volvo C30 emits 129 g/km of C02.

Volvo's home office said that, in addition to rolling out the C30 Efficiency, it will also show off a new diesel Powershift transmission for the Volvo C30, S40 and V50 at Frankfurt. The Powershift gearbox is made up of two clutches that work in parallel. The automaker said this setup results in no disruption in torque delivery during the gear shifting process, thus "delivering improved fuel consumption compared with a standard automatic gearbox."

Volvo explained that the two latest green efforts help to round out its green slate, which includes biofuels and hybrid technology. "Volvo is also making energy-efficiency improvements to conventional drivetrains," the company said in a statement.

Volvo also said it will "reveal future hybrid plans and new safety technologies" at Frankfurt, too. It did not give any details, however.

Based on new BMW M5 Touring

Forget about hp per kg ratios, hp per liter of cargo holding space is the measurement to be paying attention to at Frankfurt next week! Audi sets new records with the RS6, the new Mecedes C 63 AMG counts 0.94 hp per liter and AC Schnitzer comes to town with 1.1 hp per liter. But enough banter.
AC Schnitzer, the tuning house from Aachen, brings besides its LPG powered GP3.10 concept also their take on the brand new BMW M5 Touring. The V10 is tuned up to produce 552 hp (406 kW) with the help of a custom engine control module, special exhaust manifold, sports catalyst and a twin rear silencer. The vehicle is put to a halt again by an 8-pot high performance brake system on the front wheels, sports a suspension kit that lowers the cars center of gravity and a special aluminium strut brace is added for the front axle.
AC Schnitzer know full well that horsepower can not be seen through the bonnet, so they have created a body kit to correspond with the power under the hood. A new carbon front spoiler, rooflip spoiler, rear skirt and carbon diffuser in the rear all make sure that the beholder is immediately convinced of the cars capabilities. A bit of bling is added with an option of 20 or 21inch wheels.

1,1 HP per litre? This figure in relation to a high performance sports car such as the new ACS5 Sport Touring based on the BMW M5 certainly doesn't refer to the conventional ratio of capacity to power. Instead: 500 litres luggage space meet 552 red-hot HP (406 kW). Plenty of room in every respect for incomparable driving pleasure on one hand, and a hang-glider, surfboard or mountain bike on the other. Drivers of vehicles like this think in different terms from conventional sports car drivers. But no way do they lag behind when it comes to driving dynamics.

In comparison with the 507 HP base model, AC Schnitzer extracts a good ten percent more power from the free-revving ten-cylinder M-engine. While the luggage space can be expanded by simply folding down the seats, this is far more complicated for engine power. As well as a custom engine control module, AC Schnitzer fits a special exhaust manifold, sports catalysts and a twin rear silencer with increased gas flow to keep the exhaust back pressure as low as possible.

To avoid reining in this highly trained endurance athlete unnecessarily, AC Schnitzer has also removed the V-max limit so the ACS5 Sport Touring is only slowed by driving resistance at around 320 km/h. Or by the driver's right foot, which via the AC Schnitzer alloy pedals gains access not only to a powerful engine but also to the superb braking system. In contrast to the standard vehicle, which is slowed by a two-pot brake, the front wheels are fitted with an 8-pot high performance system.

The ACS5 Sport however is more than a "muscle car" with tremendous acceleration capacity. With the AC Schnitzer suspension components, it develops the dynamism and agility of an Olympic hurdler. The package was set up personally by racing driver and technical director Manfred Wollgarten on the Nrburgring. The kit includes sports performance springs, which lower the centre of gravity of the vehicle further and reduce body roll thanks to the harder set-up, and a special aluminium strut brace for the front axle.

Power is sexy, but since extra power can be felt but not seen, AC Schnitzer has designed a comprehensive aerodynamic package. But this is more than mere decoration. The AC Schnitzer carbon front spoiler elements with their optional chromed aluminium webs and chromed front grille, are not only reminiscent of classic super sports cars but provide any quantity of cooling air for the greedy power plant. All in all, the front of the ACS5 Sport looks far more dynamic.

Form follows function: This principle has been systematically applied by the engineers and designers at the rear too. Form-perfectly integrated into the rear skirt, a carbon diffuser together with a roof lip spoiler provides additional downforce. Integrated flush into the rear design, the AC Schnitzer exhaust tailpipes in Sports Trim design are particularly aesthetically pleasing.

The beauty of alloy wheels also lies in the eye of the beholder. Everyone is impressed with the totally new Racing Type VI forged wheel in 20". It combines the classic Y-spoke design with five striking frame spokes. With their bright-turned finish, the latter offer a striking contrast to the anthracite wheel bed. The Bicolor finish gives numerous interesting light effects, especially on the move.

Further highlights certainly include the forged Type V wheel in 20". Its strikingly curved, interrupted spokes, not only look irresistible but thanks to the lightweight construction, the weight of the unsprung mass is kept low. No less attractive are the racing rims Type IV in silver or with trendy black finish as Magic Black. The range in this case is from 20" to 21".
Occupants of the ACS5 Sport Touring however also enjoy more attention in Aachen. On request a carbon interior is available in sports titanium finish Exclusive, or a 3-spoke airbag sports steering wheel. The matching i-Drive controller in wheel design and AC Schnitzer foot mats complete the harmonious concept. So the only sports equipment the driver need be concerned with, goes in the boot.

New Porsche Cayenne GTS showcases on-road dynamics
The new Porsche Cayenne GTS, which makes its world debut at the IAA Auto Show in Frankfurt, Germany, on September 11, features a specially developed chassis: it is the first Cayenne to offer the electronically-controlled damping system, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), with steel springs. This combination, which also lowers the Cayenne by 24mm, was previously reserved exclusively for Porsche sports cars.

Furthermore, the car boasts an enhanced version of the direct fuel injection (DFI) 4.8-litre V8 petrol engine. The engine in the Cayenne GTS yields 405bhp (298 kW) at 6,500rpm 20bhp more than in the Cayenne S. Maximum torque remains unchanged at 500Nm at 3,500rpm.
In order to further exploit this horsepower increase, the GTS comes as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox and a shorter axle final drive ratio than the Cayenne S (4.1:1 as opposed to 3.55:1). The Cayenne GTS can thus accelerate from 0-62mph (0-100km/h) in just 6.1 seconds, precisely 0.5 seconds quicker than the Cayenne S.

The Cayenne GTS can be specified with the Tiptronic S six-speed automatic transmission, in which guise it offers an average fuel consumption of 20.3mpg (13.9 litres/100 km) in accordance with EU standards.

The Cayenne GTS is fitted with Porsche Traction Management (PTM) permanent all-wheel drive and the adaptive PASM chassis as standard. Air suspension is available as an option, as is the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active anti-roll system which enhances the handling and ride comfort further still. Newly-developed 12-way adjustable sports seats and a mix of leather and Alcantara upholstery creates a sporty interior ambience.

The new Cayenne GTS is instantly recognizable: the front and rear share styling cues with the Cayenne Turbo, and the striking 14mm wheel-arch extensions offer plenty of space for the 21-inch alloy rims with 295/35 R21 tyres fitted as standard. Two new colours have also been reserved exclusively for the GTS: GTS Red and Nordic Gold Metallic.

The new Porsche Cayenne GTS will be priced from 54,350, including a Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), a sophisticated vehicle security package approved to Thatcham Category 5 standard, and a Porsche Driving Experience programme. The car will be on sale in the UK and Ireland from February 2008.

The launch of the third-generation Laguna creeps ever closer and with less than a week before the Frankfurt Show reveals the cars supposed to have been kept under wraps until their official unveiling, we bring you yet another glorious leak. The Laguna saloon and estate models make their world premiere at Frankfurt next week but these photos of its fellow Renault stand star have surfaced ahead of its debut, revealing Renault's Laguna Coupe Concept. Essentially a near-production version of the Laguna Coupe, the new car is speculated to enter the market in the second half of 2008.
Renault have made it no secret that the new-generation Laguna is firmly footing itself in a new league of design and build quality, and the Coupe is sure to reaffirm this new direction. Inspired perhaps by the 2004 Fluence Concept, the Coupe Concept further enhances the lines of the Laguna, making them more elongated and mated to the car's external features. New lights front and rear may stay for production to distance slightly from saloon and estate models, signalling a shift upmarket. The concept car's interior is an aesthetically-pleasing two-tonal delight, however the transplant of the new Laguna's interior into the Coupe is what will see production.

Based, naturally, on the new Laguna platform, the Laguna Coupe Concept is likely to be powered by an economical, green engine - perhaps even a hybrid system - in line with a number of unveilings featuring greener drivetrains. In production form, expect a more limited range of engines than the saloon and estate ranges, with the inclusion of 2.0-litre diesel and petrol 4-cylinder powerplants being likely. A range-topping 3.5-litre V6 model can also be expected, with all models offering the choice of a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox.

It has the VQ35HR nice! This would make a nice looking Nissan.

Aston Martin is not only showing the DBS for the first time in Europe at the Frankfurt motor show next week but will also showcase two new special editions - the Aston Martin DB9 LM and the V8 Vantage N400. Both special editions draw inspiration from the company's recent achievements at Le Mans and the N?rburgring 24-hour races.

The V8 Vantage N400 commemorates Aston Martins achievements at the N?rburgring where the company enjoyed success in the gruelling ADAC 24-hour race with the V8 Vantage N24 production race car. Aston Martin develops and tests all of its road cars extensively on the N?rburgring Nordschleife circuit and the Vantage N400 recently broke the eight minute benchmark around the legendary 14-mile circuit.

The Vantage N400 includes a number of technical improvements as well as enhancements to the cars standard range of renowned colour and trim specifications. These include a power upgrade to Aston Martins 4.3 litre V8 engine, lifting peak power to 400bhp and peak torque to 420Nm. The car also comes equipped with a new Sports Pack which offers subtly different driving dynamics tailored to enthusiasts who seek even more responsive handling. The Sports Pack comprises a unique lightweight graphite-finished aluminium wheel with diamond turning, up-rated springs and dampers and a new rear anti-roll bar (for the Coupe). The Vantage N400 also includes a number of exterior design changes, including a revised side sill design, Magnum Silver bonnet and side strake meshes, clear rear lamp lenses and a bright finish grille.

Interior enhancements include perforated black leather seats, micro-spin alloy facia trim and a unique numbered sill plaque. The Vantage N400 will be available in three new exterior colours; Bergwerk Black, Lightning Silver or Karussell Orange, with either Sportshift automated manual or conventional manual transmission and in either Coupe or Roadster forms. Additionally, the Vantage N400 comes equipped with a range of normally optional equipment, including Satellite Navigation, 700W Aston Martin Premium Audio System, Bluetooth telephone preparation, HID headlamps, cruise control and memory/heated seats.

The DB9 LM celebrates Aston Martins GT1 class victory in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance classic in June with the DBR9 a race car derived from the DB9.

This special edition car, available in Coupe form only with Touchtronic transmission, includes a unique Sarthe Silver exterior paint finish, meshes and rear crossbar finished in Magnum Silver and red brake calipers. Inside, the DB9 LM is fitted with handcrafted black leather finish, perforated leather inserts, unique Tertre Rouge facia trim and numbered sill plaque. The car is also equipped with the normally optional DB9 Sports Pack as standard, with colour keyed and diamond turned alloy wheels.
Pricing details for both cars will be confirmed at the Frankfurt motor show.

The Artega GT features a mid-mounted, 295-horsepower, 3.6-liter Volkswagen FSI V-6 that produces a substantial 258 pound-feet of torque given its low 2425-pound curb weight. VW's DSG, dual-clutch sequential gearbox will transfer power to the rear wheels of the Artega GT. Production goals are set at 170 cars for the first year and subsequently, up to 500 annually.

A version of the Artega GT was shown at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, sans engine, but the Frankfurt car will reportedly be identical to those that will soon be found on public roads. Initially, the car will be sold in Germany, then Europe, and ultimately North America, Asia, and the Middle East -- should suitable distributors be found in those locations. The Artega GT's tentative price should be in the neighborhood of 74,000 euros, which equates to just over $100,000 at current exchange rates.

Paragon is touting the Artega as a rival to Porsche's iconic 911. It had better be very, very good if that's its main competition.

730hp Brabus Bullit Based on Mercedes C-Class

The Ultimate Wolf in Sheeps Clothing with V12 Biturbo Engine, 730 PS (720 hp) / 537 kW, 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) of Torque and a Top Speed of More than 360 km/h (224 mph)
Over the past three decades BRABUS has perfected the art of transplanting large and extremely powerful engines into the bodies of small cars. That path led to numerous world records and entries into the Guinness Book of World Records. The BRABUS BULLIT, built in small-series production based on the new Mercedes C-Class sedan, celebrates its world debut at the IAA 2007 as the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing.
At the heart of this supercar BRABUS (Brabus-Allee, D-46240 Bottrop, phone + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777-0, fax + 49 / (0) 2041 / 777 111, Internet www.brabus.com) placed the BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine. It was originally designed for the worlds fastest sedan, the BRABUS ROCKET. The implantation of the 6.3-liter (385 cu. in.) engine into the confines of the W 204 series body is yet more proof for the superiority of BRABUS know-how.
The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo engine is produced entirely in-house in the state-of-the-art BRABUS engine building shop. Displacement of the twelve-cylinder three-valve engine is increased with the help of a larger cylinder bore, special pistons and piston rods. The conversion further includes re-machining the cylinder heads and fitting them with special camshafts.
The BRABUS engine specialists further developed an entirely new turbocharging system with two larger chargers and more efficient intercoolers. The BRABUS SV12 S Biturbo displacement engine also breathes more feely thanks to metal catalysts with low back pressure and a stainless-steel high-performance exhaust system custom-tailored for the C-Class body.
New engine electronics ensure the perfect combination of maximum power yield and running smoothness. The use of custom mapping and the on-board diagnostics system result in low exhaust emissions that meet stringent Euro IV limits. The BRABUS BULLIT features state-of-the-art traction and stability control systems such as ABS, ASR and ESP.
The turbocharged twelve-cylinder engine lubricated like all BRABUS high-performance engines with ARAL Synthetic motor oil delivers 730 PS (720 hp) / 537 kW of superlative power and 1,320 Nm (974 lb-ft) of superlative peak torque. The latter is limited electronically in-car to 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft).

Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a massively modified five-speed automatic transmission and a BRABUS rear locking differential with a locking rate of up to 40 percent. It is available with two different final drive ratios.

The performance figures for the BRABUS BULLIT place it into pole position in its class: The car sprints from 0 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.9 seconds, reaches 200 km/h (124 mph) after just 10.49 seconds and shatters the 300-km/h (186 mph) barrier after a mere 24.5 seconds. Top speed is more than 360 km/h (224 mph). There are only a very few super sports cars in the world that can hope to match these numbers.
Such performance places special demands on aerodynamic properties, suspension and brakes. The sedan body was optimized for runs beyond 300 km/h (186 mph) in the wind tunnel.
The BRABUS BULLIT front apron was designed to provide maximum cooling air supply for radiators and front brakes while at the same time minimizing aerodynamic lift. For a perfect aerodynamic balance the four-door features a three-piece rear spoiler and a rear apron with integrated diffuser. Front and rear spoilers are manufactured from especially lightweight yet high-strength carbon fiber, baked in an autoclave.
A special aluminum hood with ventilation slots is more than just a visual cue; it also contributes to the thermal health of all components under the hood.
BRABUS rocker panels smooth the airstream along the sides and with their integrated entrance lights make entering and exiting the vehicle safer under low-light conditions.
The slightly understated sporty appearance of the supercar is further characterized by aluminum fender flares front and back, seamlessly molded to the stock body. They add six centimeters (2.36 inches) to the width of the C-Class body.
They also make room for especially wide BRABUS wheels and YOKOHAMA ADVAN high-performance tires. The BULLIT runs on size 9.5Jx19 BRABUS Monoblock S light-alloy wheels and size 265/30 ZR 19 tires on the steering axle. The rear axle features 10Jx19 wheels with size 285/30 ZR 19 tires.
The suspension too was custom-developed to account for the power and the weight of the twin-turbo V12 engine. The sporty yet comfortable height-adjustable BRABUS coil-over suspension features ten selectable settings each for bound and rebound, and ensures safe handling in all driving situations. Sport sway bars reduce body roll during fast cornering to a minimum.
The BRABUS high-performance brake system can handle even the most extreme stress. It features 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle that grip vented and grooved 380 x 37 millimeter (15 x 1.46 inches) brake discs. The rear axle stops with 360 x 28 millimeter (14.2 x 1.1 inches) discs and six-piston aluminum fixed calipers.
This BRABUS automobile also offers exclusive individuality in the interior: The standard equipment package includes a fully leather interior hand-crafted in the company-own upholstery shop from the finest Mastik and Nubuk leathers.
The custom BULLIT seats offer a perfect combination of comfort and lateral support. Their carbon-fiber rear covers lend the interior an especially sporty feel. This look is complemented by carbon-fiber components on dashboard, center console and door panels as well as by the ergonomically shaped sport steering wheel and aluminum pedals and shifter.
The BRABUS BULLIT is built on demand starting at 348,000 Euros MSRP.

9070910.005.Mini3L.jpg

STARTECH STARSTER is the name of a new concept car that celebrates its world debut at the Frankfurt International Auto Show IAA 2007, a concept car that manages to bridge the gap between classic old-school and modern designs. STARTECH has developed this concept car based on the new Dodge Avenger.

The sedan is painted a pearlescent ivory color with matte-orange contrasts. Details such as the STARTECH STARSTER decals on the rear and the hood are references to the American muscle cars of the Seventies. Theyre accompanied by spectacular body modifications that make the Avenger one of the most striking representatives of its class.
Clear, dynamic lines characterize the design of the sporty STARSTER front apron. Large air dams ensure an optimal supply of cooling air to radiators and front brakes. Stylized bumper horns emphasize the retro design further.

Just as prominent is the new STARTECH headlamp design that combines state-of-the-art LED technology with the distinctive Dodge crosshairs. A muscle car hood scoop provides cooling air to the engine.
Front and rear fender flares on the STARSTER give the four-door a more muscular appearance and create the space necessary for mounting an extreme tire/wheel combination. The concept car features polished STARTECH Monostar IV five-spoke wheels in size 9Jx22 with size 245/30 R 22 tires on the front axle, and size 10.5Jx22 wheels with size 295/25 R 22 tires in the rear.

The rear of the STARSTER was also redesigned. The modifications include an acrylic trunk lid molding that incorporates an innovative taillight unit with LED lights. The rear apron features the seamlessly integrated tailpipes of the stainless-steel sport exhaust system.

The STARSTER captivates not only with its unusual visual details but also and foremost with its technology geared towards maximum driving fun. Top-of-the-line model is a 2.4-liter (146 cu. in.) four-cylinder turbocharged engine with variable valve timing and a maximum power output of 340 PS (335 hp) / 250 kW at 6,400 rpm and a peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) at 3,600 rpm.

Power is transferred to the front wheels via a modified five-speed manual gearbox and a locking differential. Performance of the STARTECH STARSTER is comparable to that of classic American muscle cars: 5.6 seconds from rest to 100 km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 265 km/h (165 mph).

To keep the performance potential under safe control the STARTECH engineers spared no cost or effort to develop suspension components and brakes that better even this ample power: The height-adjustable coil-over sport suspension features selectable damper settings and an individual ride height lowering by up to approx. 45 millimeters (1.8 inches).

The STARTECH high-performance brake system features six-piston aluminum fixed calipers and vented 380 x 35 millimeter (15.0 x 1.4 inches) discs on the front axle. The rear axle is equipped with 360 x 24 millimeter (14.2 x 0.9 inches) discs and four-piston calipers. Together they easily dominate even the most enthusiastic of driving styles.

The interior of the STARSTER also presents a perfect blend of classic old-school elements and modern materials. A fully leather interior, color-coordinated with the exterior, sports an upholstery design derived from classic muscle cars. The leather flooring alone with its waffle-pattern stitching uses more than 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles) of high-quality thread.
A number of components found in the STARSTER concept car will be included in the exclusive STARTECH customization program for the Dodge Avenger.
