the how-to is in pieces everywhere on like 4 different computers, now.
i've been REALLY busy with a massive career change.. and i'm kinda stuck 2000miles away from home for 5 weeks, so i'm not able to adjust it a little.
although everything is still fresh in pics and my memory, as i've been discussing it with numerous people via PMs on this and other boards. i have the parts # list of that stuff you need for the whole swap, but i still haven't figured out the whole speedo or reverse lights problems.
i'm going to be ripping apart the car this winter and troubleshooting a few of the probs i ran into... but the car runs fine - the turbo's giving me more troubles than the MTX is.
 
fuel 'n junk... i have the MPI tuner, but cuz i keep throwing a CEL due to my lack of speedo, it might mess with that.
I'm too far to fix the prob, but i'm gonna deal with it when i get back.. rip out my extra injectors and install the MPI - and hope the CEL doesn't fubar any important signal :P
 
yeah.. it's something that requires shitloads of tuning to get right.. but i haven't even tried.. i just dump way too much fuel all the time, and the MAF is on the intake side, so stalling is a daily factor, which sucks... the MAF is moving to 8" before the TB
 
that's what the actuator is set to for the stock turbo.
i'll be installing an mbc (eventually an ebc) to boost up to 8psi, once I have the fuel all configured and safe.
 
it's not.. i don't mind not having it, but i'd like to have an odo, i do lots of calculating, and i drive lots of business now, so i gotta be able to charge for it.

i think it's just the ECU thing.
I might try to find a proper ECU for my car (a 5spd, 2.0L without ABS) or just install ABS on my car. I'm bastardizing everything else about my car, may as well do that too, and do a 5bolt conversion... s***, nothing about my car is gonna be stock in the next couple years - sheesh.
 
ATX to MTX Conversion

Greetings!

I made the Transmission Swap, im still using ATX ECU!

Is this ecu located in the back side panel where the A/C & Radio is?
Im asking this because, Today i finally got the speed sensor to work, but is not displaying the right speed, for example im in 4th gear and it starts counting the speed! i know that in 4th gear car should be @40+ MPh

The person who made this installation told me that maybe is because the Gears on the speed sensor have not the same amount of teeth and ECU makes a different count on the speed!

Can you give me some light on this?

i'm the master of procrastination. i hate my computer station, so i don't spend time on it doing work.. just goofing off.

i'm gonna be doing mine in less than 3 weeks!! lil freek did you have a regular auto or the sportomatratonic auto?
