Official 3rd Shift Thread

Allright, I don't think one of these exists, and I know there are plenty of folks on the forum that work nights, so I figured I would open this thread for us to talk, complain, and otherwise keep each other company during the late nights.

I work at a boys home in Louisville, in one of our community-based group homes. I've worked 3rd for almost 3 years now, and while I miss sleeping during the day, it's not too bad. My wife works 3rd too, and it's a little bit harder for her than for me. I'm in school, and it's the perfect job for me- I pretty much read and do homework all night. So, that's me...what about you?

Honestly, I have no idea what that is...tracking and monitoring inventory?

checking in (2nd shift) 4pm - 12am... although as of late, 4pm - 3am and no overtime errrrr..

I monitor bank processing for 9 different banks, break/fix on abended jobs ect ect ect.

6pm-6am here, 6 nights a week...72 hours...to bad the army doesnt pay overime

11 to 7 currently. Network monitoring and some helpdesk stuff....
Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll be off of this shift and into a better company....with more pay....that i can spend on my car!

im soon to be on a 5 to 5 shift 6-7 days a week working for johnson controls.
