So I know that the CX9 was not made to be a serious off road vehicle, yet there is once or twice a year I end up doing some more off road stuff, mainly traversing fields and low maintenance roads for deer hunting. Sometimes a chopped corn field as well but not much. Any suggestions on things to be wary of? I realize I didn't buy a 4x4 truck nor a Jeep, but for 99% of the driving I do the CX9 makes a lot more sense. I'm not expecting this thing to do a rock climb or go through a bog or anything. Just some more thoughts specifically on ground clearance and particularly vulnerable bits underneath to be careful of. Anyone ever use a skid plate on theirs?
