OK guys, I lost my car key and OEM remote. Now how do I reset my Keyless in the Car so that the person who found my key chain does not just unlock the door and drives the car.

I thought i can just reset the Keyless brain and re-learn the other remote that i still have.

Thanks.

Yes, you can clear all programmed remotes from your keyless module and reprogram it for your existing transmitter. There is information how to do this in the Mazda Workshop manual.

Thanks for your reply Mazdadan.
I tried to ask the dealer to clear it. The service guy said I would have to buy a new remote and they will clear the keyless module, saying that it should be in a pair - the keyless module wont work only one programmed remote....:wtf: they tried to sell me $144 for a new remote eventhough i already explained to them that i do not need the remote because I have a two-way paging alarm remote start in the car. The reason why i'am worried is that someone with my car key and remote can open the door and find my valet switch and disable the alarm.

Since i do not have Mazda workshop manual, any ideas how to clear the keyless memory?

Here is a copy of the instructions from my Workshop Manual. Another thing you could do is just remove the factory keyless module. If you have an aftermarket alarm system that is not an add-on alarm removing it is an option. In sedans, the factory module is under the rear deck between the speakers and is labeled Naldac. It is smaller than a cigarette box. Hope this helps.

What tha **** dude?! Price gauging bastards!! $144 for a freakin' remote?! I would have asked them if the remote can give me a blow job too for that friggin' price!!! What kind of dealership is that?!?!?!?!?!?! I don't even know of an aftermarket kick ass remote that would cost that kind of money! Man alive! Unbelievable!

especially when you borrow a friends car, - change their alarm code. Now that's funny. I would bet this works on all mazda's - and possibly fords too.

As long as they have the same Naldac keyless entry module, this procedure should be the same.

Thanks so much for your help Mazdadan.
I could not believe it - Had it not been for your help I might have paid that $144 for something i do not use anymore.

Can't imagine how much information we share in this forum.

This forum rules....!!!!!!!!!!

About my dealership, I noticed there are a few changes going on with my dealership. They changed two of their service guys. The guys before allowed people to bring in their car without an appointment now they ask people to book for appointment two days before.

Cheers.

Dealers are on serious drugs!

Thanks for posting the information in this thread. I found it this afternoon after talking to two local dealership service/parts departments. Kingston Mazda (Kingston, Ontario), and Belleville Mazda BOTH told me that they would have to TOTALLY re-program the computer in my car. Kingston Mazda said that it would be at least $20, but would depend on the time spent by the tech. When I called Bay Mazda in Belleville, they said they would only charge me an hour labour (CDN$69-ish), but that it usually took at least 2.5-3 hours. What a load of dung!

Anyway, thanks for posting the page on re-programming the transmitters. It only took me 5 minutes or less, and was a lot easier on the wallet and my sanity.
