OEM bluethooth Phone

:
2011 Mazda2
I was wondering if anyone had the Bluetooth phone option in their 2. I'm thinking of installing it in my wifes 2 and would like too know how other owners like it or how well it works? Thank you

If I had it to do all over again, I would have spent the extra $80 (plus the $210 I spent on the Mazda BT unit) and gone with an aftermarket BT compatible head unit. The Mazda BT add on unit for the 2..... well it sucks.

let me rephrase that...it sucks more than other OE BT units. maybe because it was designed back when BT units were just starting to come out. My Parrot FM unit I installed in my Civic was much, much better. I should have kept it and installed it in the 2.

Ya, the mazda bluetooth isn't exactly the greatest.. The thing is kind of confusing because you have to remember which beeps do/mean what. I usually link my phone to it and use the phone's hands free mode in conjunction with the main button that they install on the dash.

I find it easier to use the home button on the iphone than use the Mazda button. Hitting the Mazda button generally opens up streaming music rather than a voice actuated call.

Any one know how to turn off the BT music protocol on the iPhone 5c? I've tried the free apps and barring jailbreak, there doesn't seem to be anything out there...unless?

Thank you all this was a big help!!!

Glad to help...post back on what you decide to go with...I've just about had enough of mine. Just about every time I try to make multiple calls with the Mazda BT, I get streaming music....annoying isn't the word...
