i could have sworn that mine where black letters with red background

yeah...arent the P5s like that, while the sedans are orange background and black lettering?

ok tha'ts what i thought. . . . .cuase i was just looking at that p5 on ebay and was like wtf. . we dont' have reversed lcd's

My sedan will look like that soon. I'll post some pics & a howto once I get the supplies. I think orange lettering with a black background will match the gauges better than the reverse.

okay thats really wierd, in both of the P5s ive seen...its been like that....BOTH were sportshift though.....is that one sportshift?

The #'s in mine r black....
The odometer? We aren't talking about the speedo but the odometer (how miles you have).
If you is black #'s then what background is it running? Think you are talking about the speedo.

i remember you can change the polarizing film on the lcd to change the colors and whatnot . . .if i remember correctly . . cause i saw about doin that stuff back when i did case mods

yeah...damn...i had a sheet of polarizing film and i threw it away after i modded a graphical LCD and sold it. poop for me.

i like how that looks with the black background

You don't have to replace the film... all you have to do is take the film and flip it over (not as in rotate top to bottom, but flip inside out).

I used to do that to my calculators all the time when I was in Engineering school. Everyone was like "what the hell? where did you get this cool calculator?"

That way I could tell it apart from all the other ones when we got together to study with my classmates.

Nice, I'm going to try this tomorrow... Thanks, good tip!

2002 and 2003 are different ~~
i got a 2002 and my friend got 2003
the light of those number are different color
dunno why they changed it..i like my 2002 one better
:)

yeah los, thats what my calc at work is like... freaks everyone else out, so they don't use it!!! i fiddle with stuff too much, and found that ya can just flip the lcd over....

phreekphive - lets us know asap.... it will take ya a little while.. but you will have to open the casing .. there is no other way, i'm only fearful that it will make either a shadowy looking number, or it will be v. hard to read in the day time, but fine in the day....

unfortunently i'm one of those people who installed the white gauges themselves.... sooo i need my trip computer badly!!!
