odd idle, incosistant power? bad alternator?

i find that sometimes coming to a stop light my idle will dip a little bit, and also that while having my ac running if im pushing the buttons for both of my windows to go down that my lights dim. Just an alternator probably seizing up? or does this happen for others?

have you had it tested? if it's easy to pull, tear it down and take it somewhere and have it load tested

+1 Most auto parts stores (I know Advance does) will check alternators without charge.

lol, i probably should state that I work at advance auto parts. Checked it today, everything checks out as fine, battery and alternator. I think its a grounding issue.

nah.. noticeable loss of power when the AC kicks on. We just have a weak car.
