Nope, I haven't fixed the CEL yet. I might leave it for now. It's not that big of a deal to me.

As for the whole emissions test, Lucky Floridians...No tests ever!(knock on wood) hoping it stays that way.

i just spoke to an obx distributor in northern ca, i work at custom auto in oakland we deal with them, the guy said that there was only one available which was the prototype and i asked when more will come out, he said about 4-6 weeks and it is a direct bolt on to the second cat and it would be able to pass emissions...

well that answers it then, I think I am going to end up going with the OBX header rather than the racingmazda.

Cost is not the only reason.

IMO the OBX intake will fit into our cars with all the hookups necessary and it will be more of a mass produced product as opposed the the racingmazda header which has to be modified(although slightly) to have the appropriate o2 and other bungs. I feel the header being developed with those already in place is a little better although the gains may not be quite as much.

Also it bolts to the 2nd cat and doesnt replace it with a straight pipe so I dont have to worry about gettin my high flo cat as son as I would normally. (I woudlnt care about the emmisions as much if cops werent pricks in my state)

well we will see anyway in 4-6 weeks.

Looks like it...if not..shouldn't be much more than that...i'm not sure about the shippin price though ...just waiting for them to make it...many have said that obx drags...

It's listed at 4-6 weeks till more are made. Now, if that is a guaranteed, that would be enough time to get 10 people together, eh? However, it's been how long since OBX was supposed to have a header? 4-6 weeks might mean 4-6months.

just like arospeed...i ordered their header on June 12th...found out around July 1st, they still hadnt even produced them even though they are assigned a part number...called on July 2nd to see what the deal was, turns out they were just "gauging interest in the product"....here it is more than halfway through august, and still no arospeed header...now they are saying they might discontinue that product even though they never existed to begin with...disgusting...well, yall order the OBX headers and ill hold my breath...when you get sick of waiting, just call me little boy blue

They won't pass in CA that's for damn sure if they eliminated the first cat

umm... OBX is a Taiwanese company ... some of their stuff is REALLY crappy. other's are just ok.

so i guess APC is on the same level as OBX... just made in America.
