O2 Sensor replacement. Pre-Cat

cool, I wound up buying a new sensor...I was getting a rough idle and poor fuel economy leading up to the CEL (that said it was the upstream Sensor)..I replaced it 2nite; used a sensor socket for removal and install..worked fine (Autozone will let you rent them for free, btw) code is gone after reset, but guess I'll see in the coming week...the idle still seemed a bit weird when I stopped at red lights but hoping the car is just resettling itself..

Was it all black and sooted up? Any further idle weirdness without a code and I would be checking the EGR if that hasn't been cleaned or replaced.
