Which is the correct way to wire the O2 unit cause Terry said he had the revised copy and it said that the yellow wire goes to the ECU and the blue to the O2 sensor. I have it hooked up this way and the car is idleing lean. I have autometer A/F gauge I know that this isn't best gauge but for now it would have do til I get a good one .I'm trying to get all the bugs out so I can get all the good gauges.

he told me the same i too was running lean not at idle but under boost i have the tube mani and intercooler so im running around 5psi it was running really lean i reversed the yellow wire and blue wire so that the yellow went to the o2 sensor and the blue was the ecu and my guage is tied in with the yellow going to the o2 sensor is that how your guage is comming off the o2 sensor if not put it there. if so just reverse the wires and let us know how it works.

Hey svxin I reverse the wire and rerouted my guage ,My blue wire went to the O2 senser and the yellow went to the ECU and my gauge went to the pink/blue at the O2 sensor so I switch the but I found it was running more lean than ever and the car was stumbleing more so I switch it back.
I 'm woundering if its my gauge that is fluctuate to much it's an AUTOMETER A/F gauge . I'm probably going to take it to a shop called SPI in New Jersey their very good with turbos.

humm well let us know whats up mine is running like a rocket just need a clutch that lasted for about 4 hours slips in every gear as soon as i spool up now its pretty amazing at how much faster the car is.

I think its just the flyin protege voltage clamp so you can get the directions form there website.

No I have both diagram ofthe two spool and FM but I would like to know which one is the correct way to hook up the FMU (voltage clamp) .

The FMU and voltage clamp are different things. The original FM directions had one wire backwards and the ones posted now should be correct.

i have mine hooked up the same way as flyin miatas site. your a/f meter must be on the 02 senser side of the mod unit not the ecu side or you will get false readings remember the signal mod unit is tricking the ecu so it should read lean on the ecu side but in reality it is actully rich but the ecu thinks its normal right?

guys...not flaming or starting stuff...but why so much confusion surrounding this O2 modifier? This is a product that FM and Spool sell? They are both extremely good at stuff like this...just curious as it is a very important part to all of your systems.

Because Spool directions say to hook it up one way, and FM says to hook it up another. I have mine hooked up according to FM's directions and I am running rich (which is a good thing). Some people are running lean when installed according to Spools directions(which is a bad thing).

i hope terry gets back soon
i am also running rich under boost and hooked up according to flyin miatas site and my car runs great. About the clutch situation mine is pretty much shot and i was wondering since you have the flywheel and turbo how does it run does it have any lag with the flywheel or is it better? im working on trying to find a good clutch and flywheel maybe a spec clutch dont know yet the guy has to get back to me.

i talked to terry and he said they use the same unit as flyin miata and he has not revised the new directions for the unit yet so i would imagine that the directions on flyins site are correct

How rich are yo guys running?
A flywheel will help lower gear revs climb faster but will also promote stalling. Everything has an up and a down :D

Darin posted some really cool spread sheats that you couls plug in the variables and find the excat result of each flywheel.

I will try to find the link.

WE HAVE. They each say the other is wrong.

Hey SVXIN, have you checked out the prices at RR Racing. They have an excellent price on their stage 2 Clutch/Flywheel Combo. I am using it and it holds very good, without too much harshness for our weak tranny.

WTF, When?!?!

Thats not a good thing at all.
Fm's most recent directions should be dead on as they invented the friggen thing.

Thats why I used theirs.:D

i am going to get ahold of spec they make a flywheel and stage 3 clutch for our cars i heard they are really good but the guy i talked to at a local shop said 375 for the clutch and like 400 for the flywheel which i think i could get a better deal myself i dont know we will see
