ok, 2 weeks ago i dropped my mp3 off to get the 3rd gear grinding sound thingy fixed. and its now thurs and i still dont have it back. my dad just called them and they told him that it was my fault and im driving the car too hard. f*ck that bs. seriously, if mazda is gonna release a car that is made for suspension and handling, i think they would realize that people would drive this car like it should be driven. and no one that has one can tell me its not fun to rip on it and around turns cause it can actually take turns that alot of cars cannot. and the last time my tranny was stuck in 3rd gear, i took it another mazda dealer and they had it fixed in like 4 days. and here it takes more than 2 weeks to get a friggin grinding in 3rd gear fixed. seriously if mazda wants to keep their customers happy this is not the way to do it!

the one on rt 23, its like 5 secs away from my house which makes me happy but now theyre saying that east coast mazda did something wrong, thats why its taking longer. bbut i hopefully should have it 2day.

It doesn't matter, they still have to fix it. Just NEVER admitt to anything. Always say you drive conservatively. They don't have any proof of you driving it hard.

Yeah same thing happened to my friend(on his mp5), his tranny went @ 5k and 8k!!! They blamed it on him both times but he never paid a dime, so just stick to your guns. I own an mp5 and have a 30k mile warranty so if anything goes wrong w/the tranny they will fix it! Good luck and give them HELL!

The Mazda dealership her in Escondido had the nerve to argue with me over my MP5 shifting so hard it shook the enitre car. They also argued with me about the horrible gass mileage i got on my way back from yosemite. I was at a half tank and it said
99miles. How's that for sucky mileage. I don't see how the dealerships can treat you like this. I already called the better buiness bureau and talked with the owner. Still, nothing.

everyone knows about the infamous 2-3 shift in the mp3....its a very common problem....i don't know if its fixable

Just remember, mazda will try anything to get out of warranty (such as aftermarket parts), but they can't prove how you drive(unless you burn the tires out of the dealership each time )

ive had my tranny grind from 2-3rd fixed twice and its been doin it now for the last 3 months my dealership refuses to fix it untill the mazda rep comes and looks at it. i flipped out last week demanding they fix my car cause i was going up to montreal for the weekend. the guy calls me and tells me the rep is comming the day im goin to be a way. no they say i have to wait 6 weeks. mazda service sucks ass!! if i didnt love this car so much, i would have sold it already. but i will never sell it so i have to deal with this bulls***! I think im gonna cal them now and give them hell. i cant even downshift from 4th to 3rd without a really bad grind. Good luck getting urs fixed, if it happens again its a royal b**** to get them to fix it.
i get mine fixed at hamilton VW/ Mazda or i try to get it fixed there but everytime i have to take it back cause its still F'd up. im changin dealers after i finally get this fixed.
