wahooooo damn that son of a b**** has some power now, not super fast but quick yes finaly i am boosted everything is up and running and seems ok, clutch slips a lil bit but oh well i need a diffrent dump tube terry it burnt a hole in my flat fan so call me or ill call you. now entering dark side(laugh)

spool intercooled tube mani no problems yet except i might be running a little lean not sure i dont have a lot of cash any more so i just got a cyberdine digi air fuel but other than that it halls ass only running around 4.5 to 5 psi for nowhow is your o2 signal mod unit wired mine is yellow to ecu blue to o2 sensor? and i also have the spool cold air but no brackets with it i thought terry said it came with brackets and also missing a reducer so i cant use it anyways crap.
 
I have my O2 clamp wired Blue to ECU and Yellow to O2 and have no problems. Everyone says I am backwards, but yet I am running fine. I followed the instructions for it on FM Protege's site. They give the connection for each wire to the clamp itself also.(the relay looking part)

Curious, why do you think your running lean? If you switch the O2 clamp, please post the results.
 
I also heard their site is wrong. Mine is not wire like the site says.

I'm confused now. . . I have yellow to the ECU and pink to the harness. No blue. . .what up with that. Anyway, I KNOW, my modifier is working. . .no fuel shortage here! :D
 
Thats why I didn't use spool's instructions, because my modifier has no pink wire. I have a blue, yellow, red, and black. The instructions list a pink wire.

I think the pink wire is in the ECU, thats the wire that comes from the O2 sensor.
 
bevis your o2 unit is the older one thats whay the wire is pink the pink was replaced with blue so i guess i have mine hooked up right dont know for sure i wish somebody would clarify that for us. right now my af guage says i am running 15.4:1 under boost / hard acc is that normal? and no no pics yet i am a little slow at doing things the only pic i have is the one you see to your left thats my mani. what psi are you guys running? im at about 4.5 or 5 is it safe to run any higher with 93 octane?
 
You want to be running 12.5:1 It would be interesting to see what it gives you if you swithed the wires like I have them. Blue to ECU and yellow to O2 sensor.

that was a close one i guess. I am now running rich under boost about 12.5:1 or 12.7:1 thats better(uhm)right? the damn wires were hooked up back wards ill be a son of a gun im lucky the damn car didnt blow up i hope its ok. we will resolve this o2 mod unit wireing right now yellow does indeed go to the 02 sensor and blue yes blue goes to the ecu i hate to say it but flyin miatas site is correct. ok now a few questions what did you guys use for the breather on the valve cover brand? and which springs are which for the delta gate (wastegate) i am at 5psi right now but it wolnt go past 5 i have a white spring and a black one i dont remember(scratch)the psi rates for the springs does any one know the rates? and do you think i messed up my moter running lean(bang)?

And nobody beleived me. Glad it has been confirmed! I couldn't confirm it because my wideband is on back order. Terry is on vacation, but hopefully he will see this thread and get things changed ASAP before someone goes too lean.

As for the breather, I went to Auto Zone and bought a (gulp) APC breather filter. It was like 5.99. I had to stick a smaller peice of tube in it so it was snug when putting it on, then used the supplied clamp to clamp it down. I will post a pic of it later.

If you didn;t hear any knock and ping, then you should be alright, but if you had continued, I would imagine something would have eventually let go.

Hey guys I finally finish the installation but still have a few bug to get rig of. Isee you guys had a problem with which wire went to the ECU and the O2 sensor just want to say that i don't remember which wire I use cause my car is running real lean at idle after a couple of minute running and it stumbles once an awhile when coming to a stop I guess i better check my wires.
