Noise Cut Windshield?

Hi Guys,

Have a 2009 cx-9 gt.

Got a cracked windshield from the highway yesterday, will be out of pocket for a replacement, insurance needs deduc for replacement. crack too big to repair.

2 dealerships have told me its the Soundproof or Noise cut version in addition to Rain sensor. Around 850 there, just parts.

I am getting it for 350 installed out the door (with rain sensor/soundproofing) from safe lite.

Now 1. anyone heard of noise cutting or sound proofing version of this windshield? i had never heard this before
2. anyone got a rain sensor windshield replaced from safelite? any issues vs OEM version?

Safelite replaced my 2012 windshield. The sensor was no problem but I never heard mention of sound cutting or the like.

Safelite windshields are wavy but only noticeable if you look for it. Too bad u don't live in Kentucky. All glass is deductible free if you have comp regardless of how much your deductible is. Free glass. State mandate. Kinda cool but another reason rates are high here
