No Mazdaspeed Turbo for MP3's or anything....

I just got my car back from getting the front and rear swaybar bushing replaced. So I inquired about the MazdaSpeed pro and also about MS parts. Obvously I asked about getting a turbo for my MP3 and was told they are not going to allow it...

I thought that I had heard otherwise so I asked how he knew this and he said that he got back from the training about two weeks ago and was told that they will not sell the manifold that goes with the turbo to anyone with out a mazdaspeed. pretty much everything else you can get elsewhere he said but mazda will not sell that part. humm.... that sux!

Just the manifold? thats not too bad.
but I think if you are looking in to some boostage for your car you should rather go with a turbo kit from spoolin, or b.e.g.i Imo

yeah I know that spoolin's turbo is far better, but i was just thinking of the whole warrenty issue, but i have thought about the Spoolin turbo.

The turbo and manifold (which only comes as a unit, I've been told) and the under-package-shelf subwoofer unit are not available to buy. If you have a Mazdaspeed Protege and either item breaks, the only way to get a replacement is to return the broken one and get a new one (presumably under warranty.) All the other Mazdaspeed parts will be available, just like the MP3 parts were.
