That's no problem with me if you keep the pace reasonable....just 'cause I like to drive hard doesn't mean that I have to. I think you have the right plan...keep the pace steady, safe & fun for ALL. Good call with the maps too....we're gonna have a lot of cars, and it's easy to have a caravan get separated by other cars at lights, intersections, etc....with maps everyone will be able to make the same trip and not get lost.

na na na, I have GPS na na na..... hehe showing off.... Okay I'll stop... :D

Maps is a splendid idea. me like me like.

Don't get too excited. You're not the only one with GPS :p

I know, and I don't even have a REAL car navigation, just a PocketPC with GPS antenna and map... hehe, but I couldn't resist.

But what's the fun in that? I'd rather try to catch up with you guys and have fun instead of wasting my concentration on that damn GPS screen... :D

So can I still come to the meet even if I don't have a Mazda yet? :(

Just a second here...your avatar is a MP3, and your info says you have a Protege5, and now you're saying you don't have a Mazda?

Well, what is it?? :D :p

Anyone who wants in on this meet, and isn't on the attendance list in the main thread: PM me, and I'll add you on. It's really only for Protege owners, but if you're in the area and just want to check things out, feel free to come on down.

I like to drive..so i have no problems going for a ride through the country..I see that there are a few people that are the hard core drivers..i feel ya..

everytime we have a new jersey meet..people like to race..and it should be expected...I will have my bottle filled for this occasion..and hope that i atleast get some competion w/ some MazdaSpeeds..

That's why i am bring the Camcorder!!

ohh..and about the speed..10mph over da speedlimit sounds fine..And EVERYONE JUST NEEDS TO KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE OF ATLEAST 1 CAR Length!

About the whole flashing lights thing...I am sure everyone will be screwing around passing eachother..but we all need to realize what was pointed out before..IT's NOT A RACE..but an ENjoyable ride!

Chas

P.S. Anyone leaving from central Jersey...Like Wood bridge..Wink Wink..should try to meet up if possible..and do a train to the spot..

i was wondering if anyone wanted to do a train to the spot too..im comin from toms river so if we meet up somewhere that would be hot before we all left :D

A train would be cool. Anyone from NJ: I'm taking Route 1 south from East Brunswick (gotta pick up my girlfriend before heading down).

When it gets closer to the meet, we'll figure out details for a train.

LOL, I picked that avatar because it looked nice and I said I have a Portege5 because I'm planning on getting one soon or the MP3, happy? =D

I met with paulmp3 today to get the details of the last part of the drive down (the first half I have directions and stuff written for already). The total drive as it stands now is 41 miles. It will take us on a loop around the area, and bring us right back to the Park & Ride.

I have a shortcut that we could take, which would shorten the drive by about 6 miles. But I recommend the whole 41 mile trip. It's a good mix of twisties, straights, and elevation changes (including one pretty extreme one that you can take at a pretty good clip...but remember, I'm setting the pace to be safe).

We'll see how the voting goes, there's still some people that haven't yet voted.

the ride will be fun, some nice dips and sharp turns. Everyone has to be careful some turns come up real quick, pay attn. to the signs on the roads that say turn approaching, some you really need to slow down or you will end up in a ditch. We did about half the cruise today, i got to see some new roads i havent been on b4, it was a nice ride.

he, im down for some serious twisties, apparently thing thing has blown up since i first saw the thread, so im voted and am going, unless something happens along the way, and if that does happen, i voted grand tour so take a vote off if i dun get to go, cheers

Yeah, the meet has gotten pretty big :) I'm psyched.

yeah..I saw that too...that's why even though I like to drive hard, I think we should maintain a steady pace that's not gonna get someone wrapped around a tree.
