nitrous?

I know I've said this before, but I'm seriously thinking about adding a 35 shot on the MSP after my dsm afc gets here. I don't feel that a 35 shot on 8psi with the correct a/f ratios will be detrimental to this engine. Ofcourse it will not be used on a daily basis. I feel the 35 shot would be less harmful than running 10psi everyday. Well, anyway.......I already know what most of you will say, but I'm open to suggestions anyway.

why not just try a nx ntercooler sprayer, that should show a 35-50 h.p. increase.
O.O I could only wish...

Anyway, I think that the 35 shot would be fun, seems semi-safe. I think a 30-35hp instant increase would be a nice little feeling :)

a true 35 shot actually most likely will show a higher increase in a FI engine...just be carefull and TUNE it for nitrous, don't take the cheap route and just slap it on and hope for the best...

It's not a matter of 'a 35shot is safe to run' or whatever, it's a matter of enough fuel and proper tuning.

Personally, I'd rather put that money toward an EMS or at least a good boost controller.

I don't see the need for N20 on a small displacement turbocharged engine. If anywhere I'd use it for the intercooler.

I'm curious if the rods would take the punishment. If it misfires once, just once, the motor would be done.

i wouldn't run nitrous on the stock engine, but that is just me...the instant trq "might" **** s*** up...i agree with horsepowerfreak, except when you build the engine and max out a turbo, then nitrous = leet :D

well......if I do it, and I probably will.....I will have everything tuned on the dyno, and will pay special attention to the a/f ratios both with and without the nitrous......As it sits now with 10psi and my mods I put down mid 180's......I'm hoping with a little race gas, a 35hp shot, the DSM AFC, and 7psi I will be into the 200-220 range, but who knows. Atleast I have another motor sitting in my garage asking to be built right, so if it does blow I can just swap that one in and put everything back to stock until I can find another block to build......Oh yeah, and if the motor doesn't go pop, then there's no point in rebuilding until it does (cool)

I don't think that 7psi and 35 shot would be that bad. But in all honesty, I'd just fit the Greddy MBC to Boostscience's DS-2 with another MBC and have high and low boost with N20 spraying the IC. I'm just boring like that though... go for it and good luck!

Don't they make direct port systems specifically made to be tuned with FI cars? I will be doing a 50 shot as my last mod. A properly tuned GT28RS with a 50 shot will be faster than anyone going with the larger turbos on our cars. Getting 400 whp on a car with mega-slow spool time (especially a FWD car) is just not proper engineering for speed. Plus, your car is going to be a crummy daily driver. I don't see any of those with the bigger turbos breaking 12 seconds or getting great 60' times, but only time will prove me right or wrong.

(mswerd) Finally someone who understands!

I need to start working on setting up a workshop. I just got $1000 in gift certificates for tools, but I don't think that will even crack the surface of what I need.
