Mazda P5 '02
Hey guys,

Just thought i'd introduce myself to this forums. Been a long time viewer and first time poster. I own a P5 '02 (silver) and am currently living in Montreal, Quebec. So now that the introduction has been placed, now my question (ok maybe a couple...).

I just recently installed (by myself woohooo, mind you I do not have ANY knowledge on cars) an HID kit for my p5 and was wondering if there are any rules and/or regulations for these, particularly around my area? How high should the light be to avoid blinding people? Because it seems that they are considering I can see the tops of their head and all the street signs are SUPER bright now that it's reflecting my HIDs (I find this abnormal due to the fact that I switched to stronger lighting, so in other words, I need to get use to it?). I would post pictures but I am currently at work.

The brand is Ratek HID, and they are 8000k (white with bluish tint). Any tips or suggestions are encouraged. And I apologize beforehand if I missed any posts that answer these questions already, even though this is somewhat a specific question for the area I live in. The expertise and knowledge you guys portray opens doors for people such as myself. (2thumbs)

There are a few people on the board from Quebec, username MTV is the first that comes to mind, but there are more. As for specific regulations on the lights, that would be covered under quebec law, or failing that transport canada laws. You could also look for local car or mazda clubs (I'm sure there are a few in Montreal), and they would better know the regs for your specific area.

Welcome to the board.
