newbie with a 1993 929

Hello all. .I just got a 1993 929 and I was wondering a few things about it.
First off it has the 3.0 dohc and automatic tranny. it tends to idle kind of rough and if I have it in park and hold the throttle around 2300 rpm it vibrates the steering wheel? next is that when its moving there is a humming/roaring sound coming from the rear but when I turn left or go around a left corner it gets quiet but going strait or turning right its loud?
can anyne help me?? this is my first foreign car and I know nothing about them.

if your still around, it sounds like you U joints are worn, which explains the noise from the rear. mine does it sometimes.. and i dont think the 929 U -joints are replaceable like most cars. but i could be wrong, i hope so.

And the idle, it could be a number of things.. id start with the easiest, and obvious plug/wire/cap/rotor.. did wonders for mine. And also, look and see if the intake bend is cracked, or taped up anywhere it maybe leaking.

Check the intake tube.. they are notorious for cracking. this lets air get past the maf sensor...
