Newbie need advise!

Hi guys. I just bought my yellow MP5 yesterday 2002 5 speed. I noticed that the clutch is pretty soft (compare to my honda) is that normal for the mp5? Can I adjust it? Also, the shifter is way too long and I would like to get a short shifter for it. Anyone got any recommendation for a good shifter? I am not very car knowledgeable so I would need to get the installation and everything too.

Welcome, alpine.
Yep, that's the clutch we have. If you want something stiffer you can get a stronger clutch (clutchmasters and ACT have them).
As for the shifter, there are some options: B&M, TWM, and Kartboy all make short shifter kits. If you do a search on short shifters you'll find tons of info on this stuff.

thanks guys. Any good website that I can buy these items an other mp5 products? Is it hard to replace the shifter? I really don't know that much with cars but I know I don't like the one I have right now. (feels like I am driving a 26' Uhaul with the long stick)

Also, any recommendation on the light bulb. I know I need it hyperwhite but I am wondering if I can change both the headlight and the foglight so that I can make them look the same? (so many questions...so excited)

The shifter bushings are used to compliment the new shifter for notchier shifts since the new bushings will be harder, you dont need them but people say that they really help out, did mine shifter and bushings at same time so dont know seperately. As for the lights many will suggest sylvania superstars you can do a search for the part numbers as with almost all questions that you may have in the future.

note on the bulbs...when you install them try your hardest not to touch the actual bulb with you hands, the oil from your fingers can/will cause the bulb to burn out faster, thus why you might see many complaints about the silverstars burning out to fast.

the ultra white lights arent too bad on the road...juss need some tint its those SUVs that are a kind of pain...ahhhh...sometimes i wish i had a M/T all this talk of kartboy shifters...damn...but then again sitting in traffic...
