Finally got my wheels on. 18x8 +48 black OZ Ultraleggera's. Have Road Magnet Springs w/ MS camber kit. Along with the drop, these wheels fit great and fill out the rear fenders PERFECTLY. Couldn't be happier with them and seeing them in photos does them no justice to seeing them in person.

Will post more pics when the weather clears and I can get some full on side shots.

Also thanks to Jay! Another thanks to Ken at Protege Garage.com!

Looks pretty dang good. Thats the same setup i have been considering getting when i save up the cash. I like black on silver but was usure as to which way to go since this is my first silver car. Thanks for doing it for me.
Hurry up with the full side shots will ya! lol.

Looks great. How much was the drop? I love those wheels, seems popular on the MS3. I have Eibach's and love them but my shocks are going on me  Ride has gotten much sloppier and the rear shocks squeek here and there. I'm probably ordering the MazdaSpeed Coilovers on a Group Buy today.

The drop was 1.1 inches. Havn't noticed any issues with shocks thus far. WIll post side shots in the next 30 minutes.

Here are some more shots... Apologize for the lighting-sky's been overcast all weekend long.

...and yeah, still using the OEM tires for now. Figure I might as well get the most out of them as I can.

That looks pretty sweet man. It is funny how human nature, desire, style, etc all changes with the times. When I had a 2000 Celica GTS, I forget what brand they were, but went with wheels that look very similar to the MS3's stock wheels and still think it is a very nice look... but your wheels.. sweet. For myself, I'd probably go w/something shiny (I'm a blonde former Marine, shiny things entertain me for hours), but I dig your's.

While not a huge fan of black wheels on cars (Jeeps are another story, some black rattlecan fixes rock rash real quick), I do like the variety. If all were the same chrome or brushed metal or whatever it sure would be a boring world. Your setup looks pretty sweet. (did I mention it looks sweet?)

Off topic- have you boys with the road magnets used the Mazdaspeed camberlinks, or are you just running the camber that happens from the springs? Hey Jay hows the tire wear looking?

im still just running the camber than happens from the springs. The treadwear looks fine to me...im sure it would be better with the camber correction. I rotated the tires right before it was lowered and the tread wear looks the same on the fronts and the rears.

I went ahead and put on the MS camber links. Makes the rear wheels fit perfectly in the fender well. Be warned: apparently getting the link on the driver side rear is a real pain, as the gas tank, etc sits near it. Took the shop I went to almost 2 hours to put them on.

those wheels look equally good on your car and jbiird's. eventhough sunlight silver is faster than black. where'd you get them? maybe i can sell my OEM wheels for enough to get a set...?

Got the wheels from tire rack for $325 a piece, included all hardware. Got springs and camber links from protege garage. Excellent service from both places. Thanks for the compliments.
