New Wheels on the 9ine...How Do DEY Look?

Looking for feedback on the decision to catch a set of RX8 wheels and toss them on the 9ine. I thought they'd look more agressive, but I found out after I got them that they have a +50mm offset, so they only extend an additional 5mm out towards the fender lips. Still nice, but not what I expected, and you know how you feel when things don't meet your expectations. At any rate...here are some befores and afters. Feel free to chime in!

Looks good. I don't remember, are all the 929's RWD?

nothing spacers can't fix

on the other hand, it would appear that much lower offset would result in rubbing

I was also gonna say spacers, but they look really nice on the car!

Lugs aren't long enough for spacers...tried that. And yes, Foolish, all the 929s are RWD.

Sheah...and that gets into work and money that I could just throw the 20s on and solve all that problem. I like it, don't get me wrong...they're SEXY and the 9ine looks SEXAY wit em on...but I'm goin for DEAD SECSZAY..if you know what I mean. LOL

It's official. I've said it before, and I'm sticking to it: Every single Mazda looks sexy with RX-8 wheels on it.

I like them. i think it makes the car look kinda jaguar-ish, which I don;t think is a bad thing, some good looking cars, just crap to fix.

first thing i thought when i saw the car with the "new" wheels was Chevy Impalla SS, you know, the one that was made from the caprice. yuck.

They do look good James! Are you going to drop the car a bit?

Thanks, J.A. Yeah..I'm thinkin I'll cut a coil or two off the fronts and one of the rears, since they're linear springs...but then again, I may get some coilovers and call it a day. Somethings GOTTA be done though.

And it does look a bit Impala'ish, njaremka, but I liked that style so it ain't a bad thing to me.

Gah, no cutting of springs!!! :p Get the coilovers...

Tell you what, Joyce Ann, you help me warm my wife over to the idea of forking out $1500 for a coilover kit PLUS import and shipping fees from Australia...SURE I will! LOL...that's why it's so much easier for us guys with 9ines to cut the coils to drop the car.

now that you mention it, it really does look like the old SS

not my first choice, but not a bad looking car considering how huge it is

see if you can just get some lowering springs instead of the full coilovers. Maybe some Ground Controls.
