Lorenzo WL32 - Black 20x8.5 +35 offset
Cooper Discoverer H/T Plus - 275/45/20

I just ordered some new wheels and tires for the CX9. I do like the OEM wheels, but I wanted a wider stance and contact patch for Spring/Summer/Fall. I don't like how far the OEM sit inside the wheel wells in the rear. So a +35 offset will push them out a bit, along with the additional 1" width of wheel.

We have 18" wheels with 245/60 Blizzaks for Winter.

Wheels will take a week or two to get to the shop, but this is how it should end up looking. I'll update with Pics when it's done.

I think these look good.
What will you do with the oem 20" wheels and tires?

did you weigh the oe tires/wheels before you sold them?

seem pretty heavy to me last time i rotated them. maybe 70 lbs or so?

if you you get a chance can you weigh the new ones and report on handling and ride quality improvements or lack thereof?

I haven't weighed the OE wheels yet, but I will today or tomorrow when I box them up for shipping. I agree, they are pretty heavy, but that is typical of OE wheels so they can withstand all of the elements of the road.

I would guess wheels only weigh around 35lbs.

The new ones weigh 30.5 according what I read online. I will report back once they are on the Mazda.

The OE wheels were 29.9 on my digital scale.
