New wheels! But concerned....

I got my new Rota SVN wheels installed on the Silver Bullet and they look great. But, I was planning on lowering and have an inquiry. The rear wheels (pictured) fit the fender wells perfectly and dont need to be lowered. The front tho is still at monster truck-esque ride height. I was going to get the Eibach prokit (1.0 in front, .750 in rear right?) with tockico illumina struts. But now that I see the heights im lost. What do I do? My foolish dad says to just put on front springs but that'd fark up my susp? I dunno.

The wheels are 17x7.5 with a 215/40/17 tire btw. I just want to know what others have done to cure this. If I lower the rear anymore, it'll hit the fender with people in the back or tuck under. HELP!!! (huh)

Lower the car and roll the rear fenders. The rear is going to tuck in with people in the back, mine does. Do you have much extra weight in the rear for some reason? Because that does look alittle low in the rear for stock. I have 205/40/17's in the rear and they tuck in and dont rub, it might be too close with the 215's though, but the fenders can always be rolled.

EDIT: Go park on a FLAT road/surface and take another side picture. It looks like your sloped down the driveway? That might make a little difference. You might just be able to put some MSP springs on the front and forget about the rears? lol

215/40-17 with a +48 offset shouldn't rub on a p5.

great looking wheel. i'm a little bummed that i didn't have the patience to wait for svn's to come in a 17"

Ill take the other pic mabe tomm. I'm just worried. I dont want the car to look all lopsided when I take my friends out and stuff. I wish it could be the other way around where the fronts were that low and the back was high. I sorta want that stance but not to an extreme. when the pic was taken my dad had two of my stockers in the back but I didn't know. (he drove it home from work) so that may be a help to the problem. But still when me and im sat in the back it sagged to the fender. would illuminas set on say level 4/5 damping help? I just wana do it right andim all paranoid.

Thanks for the compliment too.

prokits will give you a good stance...not too low. and if you've still got two stock wheels and tires in the back, that may account for the look right now, especially on your driveway.

Stuff in the back does affect the rear greatly, ive learned that as well lol. I had 3 skinny chicks in my back seat and I got out to look at the rear and I was in up to my rims in the wheel well. I don't have a pic of that but I do have a pic with one fat chick in the rear when I wasnt lowered and it looks just as it does now with me lowered and my sub box in the trunk.

Attatch?

I just looked ant it's a bit higher in the back but not much. 1/2 an inch clearance mabe 6/10?

Sorry, it took a while to find lol. Finally found it on my CarDomain. This is stock heigth with ONE person in the rear seat.

Compaired to now with Goldlines and stock struts. And of course, on my driveway:( I got better pics somewhere lol.

Just btw could I mis match springs? Like put racing beat rears with eibach fronts? I wouldnt do that cuz it would cost too much $. But hypothetically could I?

Im sure you could, as long as you dont mix left and right lol, but front and rear might be ok.

What about 1 inch eibachs with stocker rears? I think it would fark it up? Way different rates?

You guys do get where I'm going right? low in the front a little hiked in back. like it's gona pounce. lol I'm so paraniod.

Yes, you could only lower the front with no ill effects. I would do the MSPs for just the 3/4 " drop. That way you could keep the stock struts if there is plenty of mileage left on them (i.e. they only have 30K miles on them. More? I would do the struts too.)

Me? It doesn't matter what it 'looks' like loaded. It is unloaded/parked that matters - of course assuming nothing rubs, etc.

The body lines on this car make it look lower in the back even when it is level. Focus on the line along the bottom of the side skirts compared to the ground. That line is barely lower in the front on mine but the rear wheels still look tucked more.

Omg! thats great! I thought it would mess up the susp. I want the raked look so....

And BTW: In theory sedan springs would work all around but there are obviously model specific springs for the sedan and wagon. Whats the difference? And, if i could I'd just get the Teins for the sedan. I dunno. But now I can get my springs and retain my look too. I'm happy.

Thanks! (rockon)

P.S.- I parked it level this moring and its more normal looking so I could better gauge the situation.

put the springs all the way around and roll your fenders and get you one of these for your bumper.

I you want some stock sedan springs to mess with I have a set.

I dunno. I'm not really allowed to mess. I dont fully own the car yet (dad!). It's either streaight up or none. lol

But I jus wana know if they'd even fit.

Its that 7.5" wide wheel. If you had a 7" wheel that +48mm offset would be perfect, especialy with the Pro-Kit. When I have a full car, my wheels tuck perfectly under the fenders, and they have never rubbed. And my drop is even all the way around.
