New Unichip Users - beware of wiring problem

Greetings,

I recently stumbled onto a problem with my Unichip's toggle switch wiring. Its seems that a batch of Unichips made it into the market that have their toggle switches mistakenly wired. This was confirmed by a tech at Unichip.

My ECU RESET toggle is actually controlling my FUEL MAP A/B Toggle. The switches are mislabled. You can identify this problem by toggleing the ECU RESET toggle and watch to see if it triggeres the FUEL MAP LED. If the FUEL MAP LED flicks on and off when you trigger the ECU RESET then you have the same problem I do.

FYI

Yea, I've posted about this already in other threads. Big time mistake on their part. Good looking out though.

thanks for looking out,:) I got mu unichip this past Friday and yes my switches came mis labled and my non iluminated switch is my A/B switch but after reading what you wrote it all came to me as who what where are my switches should be

Yep... mine is like that too. Now, if I toggle the (ecu switch) to on, and the (map switch) to off, will it work? Meaning... will I be using Map A, and the ecu is where it's supposed to be?

Ok... just talked to Josh at unichip. It looks like everything functions correctly, its just they are mislabled, and the ecu switch is the one with the LED. Since I have the switches in the glove box, and don't plan to do much changing, I'm gonna just leave it as is, on Map A.

why are they even mislabeling these? it's 3 switches, it's not rocket science.

GREAT SCOTT MARTY!! the switches are wrong...

don't get me wrong, I have a Unichip and I like it alot. But they must have a monkey labeling the switches.
