Dont wanna be rude, but you dont need a fast car unless you can fix it and tune it yourself.hello2000 said:I have about $6,000 to spend on my MSP. I don't know much more about this stuff than the average person. My uncle owns his own shop and knows quite a bit about this stuff. He told me he was going to replace the ECU in my car for better fuel management.

definately.
Then again, i hope he buys a boost gauge before he puts on a boost controller (dark)
The car has enough stock fuel to be safe until 12psi, maybe 13 or 14 on race gas. The rods cant handle detonation. If you ran unlonwn boostpsi for a few weeks, your car was a timebomb waiting to explode, and then... voila, it did, and i bet those random misfires were massive detonation. It sparked, but didnt ignite anything since it was already burned.Turbo Matty P said:true, but boost cut is boost cut. Doesn't matter what a guage tells you. If you can turn it up more without hitting boost cut why does it matter what the guage says?? We know that turbo doesn't put out massive power. I was driving my car for weeks without a boost guage and it ran fine....except rare occassions when it would be cold out or so. My problem happened when it got on the dyno nad threw the "random multiple misfires" CEL. That was the end of my msp.
UI swear all day by the T3/T4, but I've heard great things about that GT28R for 2.0L or less motors.
Did you just say a T3 spools faster than a T28(boom08) (nuts)solospeed said:t3/t04 all the way!!! the t28 is a great turbo for its price but t3/t04 spools up quicker and pound for pound gives way better gains. If you had a t3/t04 on a msp at all stock setting it would be about 40 horse more..
yea i saw that, but decided not to mention it.....03MSP said:Did you just say a T3 spools faster than a T28(boom08) (nuts)
