Hey Everyone,
I'm new to the forum and the world of Mazda, just wanted to say GREAT FORUM! Thanks to everyone for all this info. I just recently purchased a 2005 Mazda3 Hatchback 2.3L I4 with an automatic transmission. It runs great, the only issue I have noticed is that first gear sticks sometimes, if I don't let off of the gas, or accelerate, it hard shifts and pops, which is NOT good. I have heard that it might be a new transmission, which I don't have the money for, but I also hear rumor that it could be a computer issue and a dealer can run diagnostics and correct the issue? Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated. Also any tips on maintenance and upgrades would be great!
