Hello everyone,

I'm knew to the Mazda forums. I just picked up my Electric Blue CX-7 GT AWD last night. So far I love it.

It's cloudy here so pictures will have to wait.

It's a lease so I can't do a whole lot to it, but I'm already planning to get a shark fin. Anyone know where the antenna for the GPS is. I don't want the shark fin to ruin that.

Welcome....great color...what color leather interior did you get? I got the elec. blue too(black leather) as you can see by my avatar....I added a dash kit(cherry...grey color), fog trim pieces and a pinstripe(silver).....oh and I am in the group buy awaiting my shark fin antenna. Enjoy the ride!!! I have 8500 miles on her and still love to drive it! I want chrome rims...that's on my wish list for now.

Welcome AW ...I'm a newbie too. Have had my CX7 since October and smooth sailing so far. Now I'm addicted to this forum ....great info out here.

Cheers for the Shark fin! (first) I think getting into this "fad" like the Turbo decal & recently the Shark fin indicate a brother/sisterhood among CX7 owners particularly here in these forums.. correct me if im wrong but i dont see other CX7 forums having this kind of "togetherness" (band2)

I'm still undecided about the turbo badge. Since every CX-7 is a turbo I might opt for an AWD badge. We'll see.

I think that the Acura (shhh!) turbo badge looks pretty good on the pics I've seen posted here. Are the shark fins difficult to install??(flash)

I haven't done the install but I looked at the instructions. Seems easy enough.

Unscrew old antenna
screw in the shark fin connection
stick it down with the included automotive tape.

The group buy ends tomorrow so hurry up if you want a deal.

Not that you care but here's what I added: a grey cherry wood grain dash kit, fog light chrome strips,pinstripe, turbo badge and soon I will have the shark fin antenna too. Got my zoom, zoom sticker at top of my back window too..Love the blue....it stands out and is such a neat color! I wanted the sand leather but they only had the black leather and I needed a car right then and there...sold the RX 8 that day. Two things I really want is some piano black B pillar trim pieces and chrome rims but hubby feels I don't have my car long enough to warrant the cost of rims...he's so right I am afraid. Geez....have I done the most??

Mine's leased so I'm limited on what I can do. I'm considering an AWD badge or a turbo badge or both... just can't make up my mind.
