2009 black mica speed 3
Just wanted to say hello to all the forums regulars. I just signed up 10 mins. ago. I currently drive a 98 prelude sh until this guy finally comes by and buys it off me, then im off to picking up a 09 speed 3 with 26,000 miles, black mica.

Wanted to give an update, the guy is coming by tonight to pay me for my car, ( though he asked me if it was ok if i let it sit there for a few days for him). So tomorrow i will be going to pick up my speed 3 :)

oh boy hahaaha going from a prelude to a speed3. the thing is gonna feel like a rocket compared to your prelude. have fun be safe! post some pics when you get it!!!

Im pretty excited to go to a turboed car, and yes hornnee i am sure it will feel way faster. It will be weird though shifting at 6500 instead of 8 grand but will be nice to have all that extra power

You wouldn't happen to have (or have had) a gixxer too, do you? I remember that pic from the gixxer forum I used to be a part of....knee draggin ftw

nope, i had a ninja a few years back but that was totaled into the side of a town and country. The pic is something you are able to choose from when you set up your profile, i havent set my own one because ive been on this at work.

hey guys picked up the car last night but it was too late to take pictures, i have a question for the ones who picked one up though, did everyone get the extended warrenty on the car. I chose not to to keep my payments at 380 but the salesman was saying it is very important for this type of car. It was a 3 yr. warrenty that would take it to 70,000 miles.

If you don't plan on modding id say the extended plan on this car would be a good idea. Granted, the reason I say that is having been a member and heard issues on this forum for the past few years

I realize there are a lot more of these cars on the road than a forum represents so information about how this car is doing overall is limitted to public opinion and the opinion of ppl who like to mod

I would say that because this car is turbo parts will generally be under more stress and have a higher failure rate than NA cars....but this is a very general statement. Also, there have been many concerns about direct injection lately, mostly stemming from vw, that has ppl worried about the longevity of this car

I would say to get a good idea go check out a consumer report, but on the ms6 or older cx7, they have the same engine basically, and see how they are fairing with higher mileage and repair reports (because the 2.3 turbo has been in those cars longer than the ms3)

Or the dealer was just trying to upsell you, and says that about every car

I, agree if you are going to keep it stock, and can afford it, go for the extended warranty. Congrats. on the car, you will love it.

ok well its too late for the extended warrenty though the dealer so at this point i will have to look at a 3rd party warrenty which i will probably have to finance myself, so i will look around at things.
