MAZDASPEED3
Hello all,
My name is Semo and I just bought my first Mazda. I've been into the car scene forever and bounced around from intrest to intrest. I've done the honda thing, and the mini truck scene forever. Now my new love is my MS3!!! I've lurked here for a week or two and found this site to have some good information. I look forward to posting here and sharing some knowledge. Linked below is pictures of my new MS3 and my truck. Thanks.

hello and welcome, do you have magnesium scrapers on the back of your truck, jesse james style??

no i drag, dragged, frame and body only i dont do that fake magniesium or titanium stuff. I plan on modding the car slightly, i reallly want a blow-off valve just because they sound so nice. but i would also like some gauges to monitor my intstrumentation and maybe a fmic.. im also not too happy with tthe bose audio. i know the saying; if it aint got high or low's it must be bose.... but i would hope its better than this..... im also looking at maybe one day getting some rx-8 wheels. i think those look so nice in a gun metal grey or something a little darker than stock.

Don't put a BOV on it. Stay with a BPV and get and intake, you will hear plenty. I have the Cobb intake with the Forge BPV and it is loud. A BOV will cause problems on this car.

^ What he said. I'm getting a new BPV as soon as I get the coin for it. lol, I'm not a huge fan of the mini truck scene, I like the one on the other side more :D but it's nice none the less. Hope you enjoy your MS3!

This is my first turbo'd car so I still need to do my research on the BPV and BOV differences. When I bought the car the dealership already put the mazdaspeed CAI and CBE on the car. I was a little hesitant to by the car but it just sounds soo nice and its still covered under warrenty. I only want the "BPV" to enhance the sounds of the turbo. Performance is just a benefit I guess. I've only done show cars before so this go before show concept is a little new to me lol.

I've always been a go before show guy. After I do all the performance mods I want to, then I might do some interior goodies. I consider new rims a performance mod because the rims I plan on getting are 10 lbs a piece lighter than stock and look better. I have the Forge BPV which looks almost Identical to stock but will add more hiss but will also add a ping as well. Some don't like the ping in the Forge but I do. The Forge is a very good and cheap BPV. It is probably the most purchased of all the aftermarket BPV's for our car. The dealership might not like it but it only takes 5 minutes to swap back to stock for dealer visits. The stock BPV's have a history of leaking, so if you have a leaky BPV and upgrade to the Forge you will notice a performace gain, otherwise it will only be a SOUND mod. Your already are off to a good start with the Mazdaspeed Intake and Catback. Search Forge BPV and there will be lots of reading. Good luck.
