New to forums need help

I like mazdas and always wanted to own one.today I found a car that is right around the block form me and I need your help to tell me if thiis is a steal or not.

-I need a car to get me to work
-I need car that i can sit there and invest my time and hard work to make a
clean and nice ride
-I need a car i can build and race

My initial thought is ouch! That car hit something bad enough to replace the rim. I would take it to a mechanic for a full inspection before purchase. Otherwise, $$$$ in hidden costs due to bent rear suspension will suck. Looking att he painted interior pieces and pedal covers has me think it is a kid who owned it. It may have been driven pretty hard, whcih may have cause the weck causing serious problems.

So take it to a shop. Not his mecanic, take it to someone else, who will look at compression, fluids, brakes, suspension, etc. Just make sure you are safe. Plus, it looks like up north, so they will want to check the strutural integrity for rust.

It loots pretty banged up. Would look fugly at the track, but if it is not damaged that bad, might be more "go" than "show" .
