Hello all! I am new to the forum (been lurking for about a week now). I have an 06 3i Touring that I absolutely love (not really sure what the abbreviation is for it, would anyone be kind enough to fill me in/point me in the right direction for the abbreviations I am seeing in this community?)

the "i" in the name of mazda 3i? im guessing "indescribably slow" thats what i said when i got mine. then again i have autotragic. if you're lucky and got the manual, not so much. i love the car regardless. oh and welcome to the boards, im your local troll

Heh heh. Yeah, it is fairly slow, but much better than anything I test drove when I bought it, and it has enough power to get up to highway speed fairly quickly (as well as pass at that speed, which is good). I bought the small (2.0 L) engine for the mileage, really. When I drove this one, it just stood out from the rest. I'm sure all here know what I mean, nothing else in the price range compares to the quality and feel of the driving experience these cars have.

I also have the "autotragic" and love it as well. It is Black Mica. I will post some pics soon so I don't get automatically banned! I am in Columbus, OH, so our weather (currently in the beginnings of a snow storm) isn't going to lean well to a pic anytime soon.

First off, Welcome to the forums, schwannyosu!!
Second a goggle search will clue you into forum speak. There's actaully an on-line dictionery for it, though I haven't used it myself in some time.
If you get into trouble w/an abbrev, just ask! I'm sure other members will be happy to answer your question. That's one of the reasos we are here and we are a "community."
BTW: One that I originally had trouble w/was, iirc= If I Remember Correctly.
ETB= Electronic Throttle Body. MTX=Manual transmission, and ATX= Automatic transmission.

Oh, yeah I know you are. I really should get some pics, though. I just realized the only ones I have are from 2 yrs ago when I bought the car and lived in Chicago. So I said to myself, "Self, wtf mate?!?" And I have now decided to snap a few on the next nice day without all this white shh-crap on the ground.
