New time to beat...

Those are great times.......I finally got to run my mazda powered 1996 1.8 escort gt at a 1/4 track......I could not get a good 60 footer for the life of me......This is the slip break down

Timeslip:
2.34 60 footer.............I know it sucks
6.40 330'
9.74 660'
73.63 1/8 mph
12.60 1000'
15.02 1/4
92.52 mph
I tried my best to get in the 14's...I ran 3 back to back 15.0's.......that was a real bummer.

I had my drag radials on 205/50/15....My best 60 foot on stock tires was a 2.11.So I figured when I installed the DR's I would be in the 1.90 range.......Needless to say that did not happen.......My aluminum flywheel has made lauching the car harder with stickier tires and my 60 footer shows it.........

Thats barely a tenth of a second faster than my best time, same trap. However, I believe Eddie (flat_black) has got us both beat Andrew. I think he said he clipped off a 14.5/6.

Nice runs though buddy!

yeah the bf goodrich drag radials 205/50/15. i reckon they are the right size for my car actually. any bigger and i'd get a better launch, but i'd lose top end. the 205's give plenty of off the line grip anyway. also, they are some 1-1.5" wider than my toyo 205/45/16 street tyres

spicy - didnt know flat's times. and yeah i'm happy with my times.

in other late breaking news......

i'm the ANDRA Sport FWD champion for 2005/6! i didnt realise it until just now when i got an email through comfirming points allocation, but the person who was running 2nd didnt use his andra licence for my class (used it for a higher class) so therefore earning no points. leaves me with an unbeatable 140 points lead in the championship with 1 race to go (100 points for winning). happy camper indeed! i'm also equal 3rd in the overall championship with 3 other guys.

removed for that weight (and i'm 230lbs myself too). rear seats (and belts etc), spare tyre and tools, rear spoiler, FG bonnet. but then i've added weight back into the car with speakers and 2 amps.
