Spoke with a top rep at DG Motorsports today, and he had this to say in regards to products coming for the Protege...

In Development
-Full length (goes across entire length of front of car) carbon fiber downforcers
-Polyurethane front lip (same material used to make the Autoexe front lip)
-Full 'wide body' kit (like the Ballistic Protege)
-'High' decklid spoiler

Gen Info
-Dyno results show that the 'Ram Air' Carbon fiber hood produces extra 5 wheel horsepower and 5 lbs of torque
-Looking to establish a Canada based distributor for it's products (Protege's are HUGE in Canada!)

I think the hood is an awesome idea, but the price is just too high for most Protege owners.

Well crap I hope none of it is better than the wingswest front bumper I just got :o

How did they dyno the car with the hood on it?? Did they just blow a fan on the hole or what??

Is this bodykit for just the MP3 or MP5? Please dont tell me its just for the MP3 again and that they will pull a "Wings West" MP3 only bodykit.

To try to answer all questions.....I dont know how they dyno'ed it....I'm just quoting the Quoter. As far as the body kit. He just said the 'Protege' kit will be a modified Ballistic kit. Oh and one more thing, he said also in development is custom door panelings, and carbon fiber dash replacement pieces.
Just call them up if you want specifics, theyre really cool about answering questions.

haha
thats a good point, I didnt even think of that.....

I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything, but at different speeds the airflow over that hole can change. The faster you go, the more air should flow over the hole, or preferrably into it.

However, the airflow characteristics might change at some speed and not allow much air in their at all. It depends on if the hole is in a high pressure area or a low pressure area to begin with.

I don't know, just a thought. I'd like to test that hood in real world conditions seeing if there is postive or negative pressure where the ram scoop is.
